Re: Race to the tape: 2024's League One promotion campaign

Looking at the table as it stands today we have 16 games left . Realistically we could afford to lose 6 and win 10 which would give us 92 points. At our current ppg we would get to 94 points, dig in lads.
Surely thats enough !

I believe that of all our strikers Bod is the only one who would have scored that, others would have attempted to control it and been shut down.

If Memory serves, it used to be that flippant appeals could incur further punishment but I'm not sure that's still the case.

According to the BEN we are appealing both.

And so The Whites have appealed Thomasons red from Saturday and are awaiting a decision from the FA.
I think the chances of it being overturned are exactly that .... FA.

I bet most rational supporters when watching it live thought "ooh he's got to get a red for that"
Looking at the blurry screenshots above has done nothing to change that opinion

L Wycombe 2 (Grimmer 45+11') Posh 0

and that's HT
Half time scores certainly in our favour but we should be taking advantage of that not thinking ah well no harm done as everyone else at the top cocked up.

Wow just shows how quickly fortunes change. Pompey must have been feeling fairly confident in the promotion charge , sorry for them but thankfully its not us.

I see that Blackpool v Peterborough semi final is on the 20th Feb.
Interestingly Blackpool play Peterborough on the 17th Feb and then we play Blackpool on the 24th Feb.

Unlucky Zac. There’s senior lads whose blushes he’s saved there - Dempsey, Iredale.
Was iredale on the pitch, I thought he was an unused sub.
