I see reading are looking for a new manager.
PP 5/1 second favourite this time 'round, behind Steve Bruce.
Good. I hope he walks out and takes the Reading job. That might just be the trigger to get rid of Anderson.
Please be true....goodbye Parkinson, what a great Xmas present !!

DSB please stop being so obnoxious....you knew exactly what I meant. We do have a bad habit of conceding in the very last minute of games when we need to hang on....I didn't mean specifically this season (the stats don't tell the full story - like stats don't), we haven't conceded that many importan...

Re: Time for someone to cage the fly-away bird? (Norwich (A) Sat. 2018-12-8 15:00)

We must concede more last minute goals than almost every other team in all 4 leagues.... Classic confirmation bias, PT. https://www.soccerstats.com/timing.asp?league=england2 Soccerstats splits concessions into 10- or 15-minute sections. I assume it’s not yet updated with today’s figures, and it’s ...

Re: Ken Anderson - New Owner (Definitely. For Now ..... )

Looking at the weather and what with the current situation, I'm finding it hard to motivate myself to go today. I'll suck it up and get on with it but I imagine a few STs won't bother today. The Allardyce years were special but call me controversial, nothing made me as happy as Riochs 3 seasons. Oh...

Wigan have lost there last 7 away games - so we all know what will happen, at least 2-0 Wigan.

Re: More meat, less gristle. Away at Sheffield Chews'day 27 Nov 1945.

From an Iles piece in todays BN.....All around the Championship, bigger budgets and coaching set-ups often see specialist striker coaches brought in to work with the front men. It is not an idea which particularly appeals to Parkinson, who reckons there is enough expertise in his team to guide the p...

Re: Den is the menace: Millwall (a), 3pm Sat 24 Nov 2018

3-0 to Millwall They are a decent attacking side this season and they create loads of chances....we will help them by sitting back & inviting them on as per usual....groundhog day under Parkinson....usual suspects will come on here and say that Millwall have a far better side than us and that our le...

Re: Should Phil Parkinson be sacked?

Very quiet from BWFC today. No "chairman's statement" yet. Iles not talking on twitter either. Wonder if some sort of meeting to make a decision is taking place? The only alternative I see to sacking Parkinson this week, is for the club to bring in an experienced specific attacking coach. Because I...

Re: Should Phil Parkinson be sacked?

So lets keep him because he's a decent League 1 manager....which is basically what you are saying is it not, and after all it is his true level because he's certainly not good enough to manage in the championship. On your other point, you are correct I have wanted the other managers out but I've cer...

Re: Should Phil Parkinson be sacked?

So lets just carry on then eh....losing every game, not scoring, getting relegated....just because you don't know who would come in and do anything better. To be honest no one new could do anything worse than is happening now....we will not get anything from the next 3 or 4 games, and will be cast ...

Re: Should Phil Parkinson be sacked?

Most managers have a preferable style of play and over a period of time bring in players best suited to that system....therefore before signing Doidge Parkinson should have known how to use him, otherwise he shouldn't have signed him. However, Parkinson still prefers the square pegs in round holes a...

My last post on this because your becoming more boring than Parkinson....I said that I'm sure that Parkinson came out & said that he didn't want Celina and had other targets....I recall the lads twitter post driving past the Reebok, and we all thought he would sign and then he went to Ipswich becaus...

Re: Should Phil Parkinson be sacked?

You have just said it all there Nich. He is ok in the 3rd tier, that's where he belongs. He can manage there, organise there, but it's too much for him in the Championship. He is out-thought on every tactic going in this league Maybe, but - and I'll no doubt be scoffed at for even suggesting this -...

Re: Should Phil Parkinson be sacked?

The only reason he won’t be sacked before Christmas is Ken’s budget. Are we really that much more worse off than Rotherham, Wigan pre takeover, Blackburn, all clubs with similar attendances? Budget wise, worse off than Blackburn and Wigan certainly. He has signed players this summer...in a way look...

Re: Should Phil Parkinson be sacked?

Another point and it’s not an excuse or a reason but our season was bubbling after Preston. 11 points. Fought back from 2-0 down away from home to a draw and we looked better than Preston just about all over the pitch. We looked like a comfortable lower mid half side at worst. Then the internationa...

Re: A welcome on the hillside......V Swansea at home, Sat 10-11-18 , 3-o'clock.

Yes lets carry on as we are....its clearly working No. Its absolutely not working. I wholeheartedly agree with you on this. But - a change has as much chance of making us worse than it has of making us better, so it needs to be done in a measured way. If there's no one out there willing or able to ...
