Re: Wiggin
I think it's being highlighted how important Holden is to us right now, he's controlling and running our midfield. Same goes for Robinson imho, he's in charge of that back four. We should beat Wigan, and I truly hope we do because otherwise that'd be 3 losses on the bounce and even Mr Motivator Owen...

Re: Wiggin
My prediction is 0-6.
6 penalties to Wigan, every one scored by Al Habsi as Wigan get special allowance to play him against us.
Davies, Cahill, Jussi and Petrov sent off in the first half.

As a football club, if we're so skint we can't pay a few kids to sit on the bench, we're fecked.t_o_molloy wrote:They're discussing it on the stream I'm watching, they all think it's foolish and it would be good to give the kids the big game experience even if we don't bring them on.

Re: Wanderers v Liverpool
The team out there (Alonso aside, I wouldn't know enough about him) is strong enough to take apart the Liverpool team I saw play Wolves. Add in that Gerrard is benched and I'm quietly confident! (Very quietly). I don't like the bench thing btw, seems stupid, just like it did under Megson. Where is H...

"Unable to work"...yeah, of course.
That said, how many of us would take a 12 month salary for doing nothing?

Re: Happy Anniversary .... now get a job you idle b'stard
Let's face it, he is, was and always will be a tosser. Agreed. I cannot understand for the life of me why anyone would defend the one person who, without thought or apology, nearly destroyed the club I have supported all my life. It's not "defending someone" because I refuse to call someone I don't...

Does the law still state "any part of the body" ?
Either way, to me, that looks offside.
Oh and that is not a straight line!

Re: Wanderers v Liverpool
I agree, but I'm slightly worried about Petrov.
Poor performances and several times thrown his toys out of the pram at subs, hopefully Coyle can keep his head in the game because I kinda feel that when we signed him, he thought he'd start every game.

Re: The Trotters vs Mighty Russian Empire (Chelski away)
Oh also, what do people think of Petrov's performance? People were saying he should start but he came on fresh and was awful!
Holden was taken off (imho) because he was exhausted, ran himself into the ground.

Re: The Trotters vs Mighty Russian Empire (Chelski away)
All this talk in the media of how it might have been "harsh" if given irks me. If a player puts his arms out and stops a shot on goal, then it's a penalty. Harsh or not, thems the rules. As an outfield player, you have no business putting your arms there when a shot is taken. Terry has gotten away w...

Re: Happy Anniversary .... now get a job you idle b'stard
There is no historical revision going on whatsoever. Megson purchased excellent players on the whole with a few duds. His poor coaching, technical and people skills meant he could utilise those players to their full but there really is no debate in my humble opinion that he got us a brilliant set of...

Re: The Trotters vs Mighty Russian Empire (Chelski away)
Cheated by a ref not once but twice.
The real result was 0-1 with a Davies penalty. But thats how it goes.
Petrov was crap when he came on. Mark Davies looked exciting.
Chelsea as usual played with 12 men, 13 in fact today with the lino.

Re: The Trotters vs Mighty Russian Empire (Chelski away)
I would LOVE to see the ref have to explain afterwards how that was NOT a penalty for a BLATANT handball England Captain John Terry doesn't do things like that! That kind of nonsense usually means we'll get a decision later, but given that we've had a penalty turned down and they scored an offside ...

Doesn't matter, it's only Bolton.
"Chelsea turn the corner against a brave and well drilled Bolton Wanderers"
The non biased BBC had this to say "he looks miles offside, but he absolutely wasn't"

Re: Happy Anniversary .... now get a job you idle b'stard
Yep, that'll be it. Christ, I know we don't like the bloke, but give him credit where it was due. Also, how about giving some credit to Gartside for allowing him to fund the players? You are applying Elmander's fee to the other players too, players like Taylor and Cahill who have been invaluable to ...
