Re: Would it have been better/cheaper to redevelop Burnden P
reebok cost £25mil for a 28,000 seater stadium stadium of light was built at the same time - cost £15mil to build a 48,000 seater stadium Apropos of nothing, of course, but new Wembley cost today's equivalent of £947m (Jesus Wept!) for an up-to 90,000 seat stadium. Just saying, thats all..........

Re: Saddling up Saturday
i've admittedly not seen that many games live this season, but lack of effort is absolutely not something I would accuse him of. Lack of killer finishing ability maybe, but - not unlike SKD - he's not in the team to provide this. He's there to hold the ball up, win it in and around the box, and prov...

Re: General Chit Chat
Used to go years ago fairly regularly with Work. From fading memories I would suggest: - Raffles Hotel - go to the bar upstairs and get a Singapore Sling. Is probably about £20 now, but the kind of touristy thing everyone shoudl do; - Night Safari - like a zoo but you go at night and all the animals...

Re: Accounts Overdue Window - 2017
There'll definitely be a fine for late submission - this starts if you are a day overdue (£200 I think) and ratchets up depending on how late you are when you submit - suspect the fine in this case runs into the thousands....... Give Companies House a few days to process them and then they'll be ava...

Re: Accounts Overdue Window - 2017
i wouldn't bother - once the company has sent the accounts to Companies House they need to be scanned and processed - it can take up to 2 weeks (at busy times) for the Co House website to be updated and a further few days for a copy of the accounts to be available to download (tip - from the page yo...

Re: Hanging on, January Transfer Window thread 2017
Come on fellas. None of us wanted Clough to go - especially for what we see as a "bargain" - but lets get a bit of perspective can we. At the end of the day I don't think any of us disagree that the club was, and very much still is, up sh1t creek as far as the finances are concerned. My random thoug...

Re: Ken Anderson - New Owner (Definitely. For Now ..... )
I thought the same, but I have it on good authority (accountant at work..) that the rules are now 12 months from the date of signing, not 12 months from the date of the year end....

Re: Ken Anderson - New Owner (Definitely. For Now ..... )
For a company to file its accounts on a "going concern" basis, it has to convince the auditors that it has the financial means to survive from the 12 months from the date of signature. If they can't do this then either the auditors qualify the accounts (bad) or they have to prepare the accounts on a...

Re: BW Supporters Trust
"Going concern" is usually only an issue for 12 months after the balance sheet date (ie the company will survive for a year or not). Given that actual time has superceded a forecasted 12 months past the balance sheet date (end of year), then there can be no going concern, er, concern can there?

Poor bugger - hope something can be sorted soon for him.
This must have happened relatively quickly - he played in the legends game just a few months back - presumably all was OK at that point as he looked one of the better players?

Re: Allardyces dream job...
Sam Allardyce was/is a moneygrabbing cnut. If he had not managed BWFC everyone on here would be calling him as such Most likely. It's his connections with Bolton, nothing more, both as player and manager that make anybody care any more than if it were ( fit any of several names here). Sam Allardyce...

1-0 to us. Scrappy performance and they dominate but we manage to scrape a win. Gives a much-needed boost to confidence and we then continue the rest of the season unbeaten, winning the division by a country mile. The League 1 team of the season is made up entirely of our players and PP is manager o...

Re: Brexit or Britin
I thought the question on the ballot paper was quite simple actually. Of course it was. I'm sure virtually everyone who voted understood the concept of vote or leave. I'm also sure a significant amount though didn't understand what it was they were being asked to vote to remain in or exit from thou...

So.. anybody with say, learning difficulties, or people who haven't had the privilage of same education as others (often through no fault of their own), aren't allowed to vote on policy that directly impacts upon them, their families and the country they live in? Thats not what I'm saying. The poin...
