Re: What are you watching tonight?
Lovefilm came through with American History X - which looks like it might be a mistaken choice for my taste ... And Morgan: a Suitable Case for Treatment, just released on dvd and been on my list for months before... They got it to me within a few days of release... Good stuff, now to see how badly...

I think he meant he drank Carling because it was that, or face the aftermath of Kronenburg.
Glad to be of service.

Re: Come and support your local non-league club.....
Shit went down apparently. At the first game the lovely Chester boys supposedly started on the Chorley away following, which is almost exclusively older couples and families. As such certain elements of the Chorley community and satellite villages decided they would wander down for a spot of revenge...

Re: Middle East
Personally I am not sure one can suddenly introduce "democracy" to a country or culture that has never known it. It took centuries to develop in Western Europe and, where monarchies were dispensed with, they were usual replaced by dictators in the short term at least. Hitler, Mussolini, Stalin and ...

Saved me typing it Prufrock. Thanks. So that's two people needing good taste operations so far... It's malodorous garbage... IMHO of course... I'm not sure it's a question of my taste. As I have said, the main problem I had with the Mexican episode is that it wasn't funny. I don't however th...

Re: What are you watching tonight?
Seen lots of films and that over the weekend. Thursday night we watched the remake of The Manchurian Candidate. I watched it at the cinema and I think young me thought it was OK. Woman hadn't seen it so we watched it on the lovefilm player. The problem with sci-fi new age technology films is they lo...

Re: Whites vs Newcastle
We'll obviously lose now, after what I said. I've a feeling our mental Owen will go:
CYL-Holden-Muamba/MD-Elmo
SKD--Sturridge.

Re: Today I'm angry about.....
Today I'm angry about folk who get far too worked up over Top Gear. It's an all right programme, though perhaps repetitive, and it does have an annoying bunch of 'did you see Top Gear last night folk' but the over the top reaction to the blandest of statements is annoying. Statements which are desig...

Has the case against his mates been dropped? Thought it was allegedly them, but at his gaffe? Anyway, weight off shoulders, two goals in a week. Ivan is back.
