Not great, but 0-1 would do.
They've probably had the better chance, we're saving them washing fciking Jedward's kit.

Entertaining kids isn’t cheap in the holidays! Colouring book, finger of fudge and clip round t'ear if they complain. You can thank me later  Colouring books were for long journeys. Still "doable" and whilst it might not mathematically be "must win," feels like we, at least, need to better Derby's next result and win game in hand. I'd be disappointed if we didn't win, given next up is Pompey.

Aye. As I've said before, I think for some, negativity is a self-protection mechanism - assume the worst and you won't be disappointed. Although some of the loudest voices last week seem rather quieter this week, which doesn't help dispel the notion that there's a masochistic desire to fail. One pe...

Re: Race to the tape: 2024's League One promotion campaign
^^ Just as an aside, 2017 - we had a bit of a hiccup from here, last 5 games netting only 7 points, which kept us guessing until 2 to play (or so)... Edit: Game 42 - L to Scunthorpe out nearest competitors - big game bottle jobs. Game 43 - L to Oldham - I mean local derby of some league importance ...

Re: Race to the tape: 2024's League One promotion campaign
The bookies are optimistic enough to be offering 1/125 on Pompey, But yeah, win 5 and we leave Pompey needing 7 points from 5 games and Derby needing all 12 from 4, it feels a bit glue-sniffing to think Pompey are not going to manage that. We draw a couple and it starts to look very tough. Edit: It'...

Re: Dem Bones, Dem Bones, Dem Bare Bones....
I think keeper for keeper, there's not a lot in it. I do think we look a chunk more shaky as a defensive unit with Coleman - just a little less trusting and maybe more likely to concede, but not particularly unhappy with either. Think Coleman had a pretty poor start - but that can happen when you've...

Grand win. Much needed and decently entertaining. Tougher tests to come, but you can't get more than 3 points for the win.

I'm getting a bit lost on the "best manager for years" - I mean Allardyce started quarter of a century ago. More recently, last 10 years, we've had the tail end of Freedman, Lennon, Parky, Hill and then we're heading up to completing year 4 of IE. I think most would agree, Dougie, NL and Hill weren'...

I do think the crowd (not all of it, but enough) could get quite jittery early, if it doesn't click, so hoping for a fast start....
We wouldn't want to watch them play themselves into contention as they did at theirs, coz we saw where that could lead.

Re: What's Ste Evan's Age? 61, I think. Stevenage away. 29/03/2024 - 3pm
I'm a bit baffled: We're in third place in the league table despite internationals and injuries, not losing games and not having the best of luck with officials. We have good players and no real reason to believe we're going to be handed promotion on a plate. In what way are we so much different th...

You know there's trouble at 't'mill when the wise sages are spinning up the demons that the only alternatives feed off virgin blood, yet if recent memory serves, the teams that have gone up in the autos have looked pretty decent (without doing all the things Evatt teams using the "better way" do.), ...
