Re: creeeeeeeekeeeeeet

On balance you have to say that thus far England are a dubious run out and weather away from winning the ashes. If they’d had more prep going in they’d have won I’m sure. They were just undercooked for first couple and even then were within a whisker. It's been proper back and forth up until this t...

Re: creeeeeeeekeeeeeet

Incredible display but not optimistic sadly. Them's the vagaries I suppose. Holding out hope. Three incredible test matches so far, with great stuff shown from both sides. Shame the one where we throttle them could wash out but it is what it is. Anyone know a decent roofer in Stretford? Like very de...

Re: How much fitness do players lose in closed season?

Yeah, Just after England won the RWC, they replaced some of the fellas who retired. Danny Grewcock, I had down as a "lanky streak" but reconsidered when stood next to him and finding 6'6" and 18St can make it look like a bit of an optical illusion on the telly. :-) I went to uni in Bath and b...

Re: How much fitness do players lose in closed season?

My dad said similar about Alan Thompson and Nicky Hunt (who should play up front, of course). Always had the latter down as a lad so tall and thin he would fall over in a strong wind. Not quite the case apparently.

Re: Snog, Marry, Avoid: Summer 2023 Transfer Window

The final pieces of our transfer puzzle that I am looking forward to would be the replacements for Lee and Kachunga. Two strong runners from midfield are needed, one who is more attacking, and one who is physically strong/dominant. It looks to me that a couple may also leave us in this window. My b...

Interview on the club youtube with GJ today

Don't think he would be doing this if the ink isn't drying on a contract or the printer isn't at least spitting it out

Re: Wanderers Bond

As someone who works in this field or adjacent to it at least I do have a worry about how this has been marketed and if it might come back to bite us in the backside. I'll need to do some digging into the regs and while I would hope the brass have done their homework there are aspects of this that h...

Some more 'content' I hadn't watched but thought was quite fascinating: 45 minutes pre-match podcast with 'Evvo and Schuey' talking about all manner of things.

Re: What are you playing tonight?

Bands who've only recently caught your attention, by whom you're immediately impressed, go to look them up, hoping for tour dates, only to find that they've been, gone, and threw the towel in years ago  If any of you aren't familiar with 'Marks to Prove It' by The Maccabbees by the way, might...
