I said before Allardyce left Bolton that he'd lost it. He's been proving me right ever since. Blackburn were shite against Spurs last week, but got away with it.

Blackburn will stay up, but Sam's Euro days are in the past.

Re: 2nd Best Album of All Time

Craig David. I kid you not. http://news.bbc.co.uk/newsbeat/hi/entertainment/newsid_7989000/7989732.stm "That album meant so much to British music at the time, it was a whole movement " Course it did Craig. Its not an organised piss take at all. Cut the poor bastard a bit of slack. Being a Southampt...

Krishnan Guru Murthy has sent around a little note to all the journos (which I'm privy to) and there's new footage from another camera which apparently shows the bloke not merely getting shoved, but hit with the baton in his back . Indeed there is. It was shown on Newsnight last night. Absolutely u...

'Boro have won one game in the last nineteen. Their fans might have a point. The situation at Sunderland is particularly amusing though. Niall Quinn said he had some 'breathtaking' candidates for the job. Then he appointed Ricky Sbragia. Cisse's gone back to slapping women around and Kieran Richards...

How strange that the BBC didn't mention that other classic. 'We're Having a Gang Bang'.
Thought that was the Sensational Alex Harvey Band.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/7971778.stm One of the biggest crimes against music is back from the grave. You only think thats a crime because you never heard Tiny Tim. Time to remedy that http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=skU-jBFzXl0 Bolton fans had a version of the song, ju...

Anyone see the documentary last night? I thought it was pretty good, though by the looks of it most of the contributors only agreed to do it on the understanding that they'd get to spend quarter of an hour slagging off David Peace. Anyway, excellent book, I hope the film holds up. I saw it and very...

Was a time, long ago, when the ref would have made them both shake hands and given a bounce-up (now a dropped-ball). Aye, play on. But then you used to be able to charge the keeper and break his collarbone while he was holding the ball, and that was a legal move (was that the '57 cup final?)...

From the reviews I've seen/heard the consensus seems to be 'job well done' rather than 'world class'. Certainly light-years ahead of Fever Pitch, WSC, Goal, Escape to Victory and all that garbage, but not brilliant in its own right. Everyone seems to be loving Sheen's Clough though. Bollox. Thats f...

What an odd story. I'm normally against this sort of stuff. 'Let's laugh at the freaks, so we can feel better about ourselves.' But in this case, there has been collusion between the family and the papers. The story was run in the Mail first - see here and nicked by the Telegraph (bit lazy that). Ar...

Scalded leg. Some little tosser spilled hot coffee on me at Burnden Park. I turned round to see what had happened and missed Sam Allardyce's fantastic headed goal against Sunderland.

No-one will ever take a competition seriously which has a lop sided group stage, that lasts about 4 months and ultimately gets rid of about four teams. Does the Europa League change these problems? If so, then maybe it has a chance. Not sure about how many teams get eliminated, but there are two mo...

And I'm not all that up on the legal implications of this, but isn't this an admission of guilt? Is it not open season on West Ham now? Can we have our 500k? I presume that's tongue in cheek. As Everton, who finished one place and two points ahead of us also lost at West Ham. Not that it stopped Ga...
