Re: The Politics Thread

Cameron got off very lightly, and he knew it. What I absolutely cannot fathom is how people are as thick as pigshit to blame the Liberals for the majority of the coalition's decisions, when they were the minority partner. It's f*cking mental. Having said that, politics over the last few years in thi...

Re: The Politics Thread

Quite like Vince too. I always liked Nick Clegg, though, too, and agree with David Cameron's assessment that he unfairly faced the flak for Coalition policy.

Re: The Politics Thread

TTIP had the most backing from the British Government. We'll get it with or without Europe. I've come to realise people are this stupid.

Re: The Politics Thread

Said it all along, the leave campaign was based around a power grab by a right wing cabal in the Tory party (and fascist Tory, or UKIP as they pretended to call themselves). Shitting themselves that they'll be rumbled soon, so will stop at nothing to railroad it through before the average man/woman ...

Re: The Politics Thread

A spokesman for Mail Online said the article was not out to blame Kebede and that its coverage was in line with that of other media including tabloids such as The Sun Daily Mail response to another disgraceful article they're associated with. Most important part is where they put themselves on a pa...

Re: The Politics Thread

Theresa May has just been on the telly box. As a human being, I feel sorry for her. She looks like she's barely hanging on to her sanity. F*ck knows who or what comes next, but theres no way she's hanging in until autumn.

Re: The Politics Thread

The most important thing isn't politicians right now, but lots of dead people and displaced families. on balance. Note, btw, those odious w*nkstains from the EDL were haranguing Muslims near to the tower block outisde a mosque. As the congregation (I'm not sure this is the correct collective nomencl...

Re: The Politics Thread

May has shown herself to be 3rd rate at best. Comparisons aren't really helpful to ascertain or deduce that. It clouds the issue to show what Corbyn did - what she did showed her up for who she really is.

Re: The Politics Thread

Opinion is clearly divided on the issue. All the facts point to a landslide. You think they don't. Even more interesting is that the next 12 years of Tory rule didn't repeal the reforms of the Labour administration. Or indeed pretty much any administration until Thatcher. Again, opinion is clearly d...

See, my reason for asking goes beyond any basic elasticty and " indications show"and takes into account that an 18 year old ( what's in it for me?) view, may well differ widely from that of a maturer 30 year old with a little life experience. Re: The Politics Thread

Point of order here, but does his website actually say ferment, rather than the more appropriate foment?

I'm just guessing, but anything that starts with 'firebrand' and ends with 'die-hard' is probably just missimg a couple of 'raged' and a 'screamed' to betray the kind of toilet paper it is.

Re: The Politics Thread

You've got your wish. Theres no need to argue BWFCi's point because, in truth, it's purely rhetorical. The Tories will get to demonstrate, quite publcly, just how strong and stable they really are.
