Re: The Christmas thread

Was supposed to be at the Christmas markets this weekend, but Mrs BP isn't well. :( Might have to nip up the road to the one at Rammy on my own tomorrow.

Don't mind if I do! discovered the missus had used up all the mushrooms - so had to go with beans.. had toast cos I couldn't be arsed getting the deep fat fryer out and doping fried bread... anyway.. THE BIG TOPIC OF THE DAY.... has...

Closed yonks ago. Reopened as an Italian 'Prosecco' for a couple of years, now shut.

It's called Downtown now, I think. Was supposed to be a steakhouse. They seemed to get planning permission to open as a bar initially, but the restaurant never appeared. AFAIK.

Re: What are you eating and drinking tonight?

Lunch date at The Olive Press on Nelson Square with an old colleague. Good food and a natter. It was shut! When did that happen? Are there any half decent restaurants in Bolton any more? I did wonder when you said Olive Press, but the last time I walked past, there were workmen inside. I assumed th...

Where's everyone off for their Christmas do this year? Improvement on the last few years of the Albert Halls. We're off to Pizza Express in Bolton.

It may only be a small improvement, but it's an improvement all the same!

Still have to pay our own way though.

Clarke was dropped by Root from a much more difficult chance, diving to his right. Carberry's was a much easier one. He should also have caught the ball when it bounced off his hand.

Re: What are you eating and drinking tonight?

Just back from Chiquitos at Middlebrook.....really enjoyed it..... Love Mexican food, but always avoided this place as it's a chain. After Wahaca darn Sarf, it's gonna have to be good. Worth the visit? It may not be up to your standards.... Trust me Grunty. I have no standards. If it's good,...
