Also, learned yesterday in a pub quiz that the dot over the i and j is called...a tittle. oooh - i didn't know that... as in "jot and tittle"? what's the "jot"? I thought jot just meant something very small. As ever, I consult the great book of wiki : The word tittle is scarcely used. Its most prom...

Re: Where are you going tonight?
The old Vic adaptation of The Crucible is fecking brilliant. What a truly great play that is! And the Octagon is reviving A View from the Bridge in the new year. My favourite Miller. It really is! I knew the general plot and that it was an allegory on a subject i'm quite interested in, so went in p...

I assume part of it is yeah, collateral damage should the plane look like its headed to a populous area. Probably also to just keep contact with it? Given the Mh370 thing where the plane just disappeared, having a Typhoon keeping visuals on it helps in that regard in case the plane's tracker is turn...

Re: The athletics/running thread
3.6 miles run home last night, 3.6mile run in this morning, then swimming lesson at 8. Run was slow and steady, and had to stop at a couple of interviews. But it's good to get in a habit again, and i'm sure that as i continue the consistency and times will reemerge. Swimming was good, though i was ...

don't really care about times (yet), just want to finish it first! gonna have a run in my cheapo cycle gear later to see how it goes. Don't want to start shelling out too much too soon, and have already booked swimming lessons at the behest of my bank balance. Either way, it's going to be a very hea...
