Empty seats @ Macron
TV viewers in particular can't have failed to notice that half the home seats appeared empty. Assuming around 14000-14500 of the gate were home fans, what percentage are season-ticket holders? Thinking if that number's high, let's say more than 50%, then there aren't that many walk-in fans on the da...

If he goes, Pardew should soon be available.

Re: Just a quick one..
Where are you? If you can get a faint FM signal you could get a clear DAB signal (strangely enough), have you tried that? Apologies if you have.

Re: Capital 1 Cup round 3 (AND COUNTING)
Mmm... Chelsea in the League Cup... Seem to recall a 0-6 tonking in the distant past... Yes, I was stood on the Embankment. Just a wee lad...after the sixth I was thinking "oh, we only need to score a goal every 5 minutes and we'll draw....". Mind you, Bolton had a team then that could score goals....

Re: Carling Cup 1st round draw: Bury at home
As a neutral it's been my first visit to the Ree....Mac....whatever for several years. The game didn't really have much quality, but that didn't stop it being a thumping good cup-tie, but it must be a worry for Bolton fans that your first-and-a-half string couldn't threaten the Bury goal until, well...

Re: Carling Cup 1st round draw: Bury at home
Seriously - you make Bury favourites? If Bury bring 3000+ it will be more like a home game for them, and it really should have been a TV game.CrazyHorse wrote:They'll smash us.

Re: Carling Cup 1st round draw: Bury at home
The BWFC website shows that 90% of the stadium has no seats available for this game. So we've either got a full house or they've only sold about 1000 tickets and can't be arsed opening most of the ground. :? I noticed that, first spotted about two weeks ago and was waiting for it to correct itself....

Bury have a very good record of getting opposition managers sacked the following day.

Re: Bolton - best or worse than when you first started going
I think it was a LC game v Wigan I went, unusually, into the Manchester Road Paddock walked up the ramp and looked left and saw a fckg great wall, coving half the length of the pitch and, stunningly, about 4 feet from the cinder track wall. I couldn't believe my eyes. Quick internet search seems to...

Re: Carling Cup 1st round draw: Bury at home
Looking at the ticket site, it seems only the bottom tiers are being used for both home and away fans (except if Bury claim enough tickets they will open up the upper - I read). What does the expected gate have to be in order for upstairs to be opened; and in any case will you be able to pay at the ...

Fulham (with Bobby Moore) walking off after Bolton equalized in Double Added Fergie Time.
Unfortunately they came back.

Re: Boltons worst EVER result in your opinion???
Bolton's worst ever result? Oldham 0, West Brom 1. Those of a certain age will know exactly what I mean. The rest of you will think I'm barmy! We were winning 4-0 AT Charlton at the same time iirc Yep. The 4 - 0 was plenty to take Bolton up, if Oldham could beat or hold WBA. The conspiracy theory w...

Re: Leeds United - Away
^^ Had it been on an ordinary Saturday I'd have seriously considered it. With it being on NYD I'm just not prepared to break off from seeing family and friends to do it. And they can, quite simply, get to feck. Didn't Captain Birdseye win his case against the WYP that once outside the ground the po...

Re: Leeds United - Away
What you should all do is go - on the trains, by bus, whatever, go to the ground (ticketless) and not go in. That way Leeds/Bates will have to fund the police bill (double time, innit?) for 2000 Bolton fans going, but they don't get a penny in receipts. I know it's no fun standing outside a ground l...

Re: Huddersfield Away
Looked at the fixture list the other day and missed this one. Very tempted. What's the ground like? The ground's OK, more than OK. Very steep banking on all the stands so a great view. Worse than that is the two real ale pubs on the station. Know how to treat visitors, Huddersfield. Bloody Yorkshir...

Re: Huddersfield Away
Anyone here, of a certain age, remember a League Cup tie (??) at Huddersfield when Hudders were in the first division - Premiership if you're under 20 - (???) and Bolton the third (????) and Bolton won 2 - 0 (???????) and Roy Greaves scored one of the goals (???x1000). Somewhere, deep in the attic, ...
