Re: Worthy's better class of transfer thread
I'll be pissed if (Kevin) Davies makes the squad never mind the team now... Life after Davies must begin soon We're likely to only play 1 up top against a very good side, so I dont see a better starting option than SKD. With Sordell to come on if we're behind or Cravies if we're level after about 7...

Goes to Hull for talks. Tells Mrs Doubtfire he's just off out for a bit of lunch and beggars off up to Ewood. Thanks to the organisation that is Venkys, he's now got 4 months of bench warming to look forward to

Not now, but Copenhagen in March. Long weekend. Anything worth seeing? Went a while ago but loved it. Little mermaid is seriously underwhelming but has to be done. Tivoli gardens on a Saturday night was good fun, the bars on Nyhaven harbour is a great way to spend a few hours and a lot of money. Th...

The eagle has landed, eh? Ok, here goes... An eagle is golden. If something is golden it means it's special. Special K is a breakfast cereal. As are Frosties. Frosties are Grreeaat. Great rhymes with mate which is another name for a friend. Ricky Hatton has many friends including Joey Barton. We're...

Most of mine are from foreign travel experience. NYC, Venice, Being in a dugout canoe on the Orinoco at night (my God the stars!), a Boca Juniors home match, The Grand Canyon & the spooky Monument Valley and the view from Voi Lodge in Kenya. However, like Bobos experience with the Cotswolds, we felt...

Loving the irony of Twitchy complaining about Agents behaviour.

Get it checked over by someone else first.
Kwick fit are notorious at finding something else supposedly wrong that is either exaggerated or a downright lie. Seen evidence of this several times both personally, and with friends & colleagues.
I too ran a car for 4 years on radweld. It's great stuff.

Re: What to expect from Dougie ...
Aye, I seem to recall Clough believed not in building from the back but through the middle by creating a strong spine i.e. Keeper, centre half, centre mid & striker. Shilton was an inspired signing at Forest but then so was Kenny Burns and the actual million pound player he did sign - Trevor Francis.

Re: The athletics/running thread
Are you not with Haywards Heath any more? I always find running with others much more fun and motivating than going out on my own. So true. My hardest runs are always the ones that I do on my own, both in getting out there and staying out. GG - even 1 or 2 sessions with the club would probably get ...

^ Silly boy, I suspect he will bitterly regret that in the not too distant future. There ARE young lads out there who would rip your arm off for a chance like he had.

Well done G. That sounds like a great time in those conditions. I was out for 3 hours over Winter Hill this morning. My God it were cold. The wind at the back of the mast was so hard and fast the lass running with us was close to getting blown off the hill! My feet were so cold I was minutes away fr...

Fair play to ya Bruce. Today was as good as I've seen him and made me realise (perhaps belatedly) how bad Knight is with the ball. Ream is a footballer but I doubt his ability to stand up to the rough stuff. Knight is a stopper but I doubt his ability to be a footballer!

Re: Dougie Freedman - New Manager
Surely it's meaningless comparing the 2 records
Coyle had 3 years to build his team and get the stats being quoted on here
Dougies had 5 minutes.
If after 3 years Dougie's ppg record isn't significantly better than it is right now or Coyles was when he left, then he's been a flop.

Re: Today I'm angry about.....
Since the team played well, I'll have a moan about the club today. What the blitherin crin are they doing with regards to match tickets? It was bad enough that I couldn't order my usual seat on line. Bought them in person and was told "We're not opening the corners". They were open. Then, I couldn't...
