Re: Race to the tape: 2024's League One promotion campaign

I suspect bogeymen affect loyal fans much more than peripatetic players.

Re: Race to the tape: 2024's League One promotion campaign

Hadn't won at Cambridge since the Miner's Strike era. Meh - I'm not nearly as bothered about things that happened (or didn't) before our players were born as I am about the players they're facing. Give me a shit team on a bogey ground any time over a dangerous team whose predecessors we beat in the ...

Re: Race to the tape: 2024's League One promotion campaign

All fair. Just noting that yon site’s probability calculations seem to have us only winning four plus change, which seems easier to outperform than I imagined. Same true for others, though.

Win on Saturday and we’ve just got to keep our noses in front.

Re: Race to the tape: 2024's League One promotion campaign

^^Ignoring our game I have Derby down for 6 wins. Let’s take one off for usual ‘oddity’. That puts them on 90 points. Then obviously whatever they get from the game against us. If we win Saturday then I’m saying that we will need 5 more wins or 4 and some change, because I think Barnsley will be ar...

After Saturday, it had 4th as marginally our most likely place; now it's 3rd. The graph I find m...

Re: Ox on the box, c*cks on the blocks? Oxford (H) Tue 12 Mar, 8pm

(Out of interest, I see Joe Taylor - the Luton loanee we were strongly linked with in January - scored two for Lincoln last night. That's now 5 goals and 2 assists in the last 6 games. Will they want him loaned to a Champo club next term? Might it be us?) After their last couple of results, I went ...

Re: Ox on the box, c*cks on the blocks? Oxford (H) Tue 12 Mar, 8pm

Santos looked exhausted. Hoping it was just that. I think he’s carrying something as he’s not really looked himself since coming back and whilst he was outstanding last night I still felt he was more tired than you’d normally expect. One to be slightly worried about is Bod who was complaining of so...

Re: Ox on the box, c*cks on the blocks? Oxford (H) Tue 12 Mar, 8pm

A little historical note: barring friendlies, I think that's the first time Evatt has ever substituted Rico during play. He's been subbed at half-time before, but I don't think his number's even gone up before. Wondering something along those lines - felt really odd to see him coming off like that!...

Sensible double sub. Let two of the scorers take the applause and the break. Get two more players on.

Come on lads get that GD up. Get out of reach of Peterborough.
fair point this. Oxford have gone. But I’d have players like Randell and Demps and Jerome on.
