Could be worse...! https://twitter.com/League1news22/status/1715774192937734461 Fixed for you Harry. Much obliged! Amongst the upset at our 2nd half performance, let's at least remember how freaking good that first half was. Quick tempo, wonderful passing and movement throughout the side. More of t...

Re: Sole destroying: Northampton home Sat 21/10 15:00

Excellent first half. Woeful 2nd, particularly the last half hour. Should have been out of sight by the time we put our subs on and significantly weakened ourselves, again.

Still. 3 points and the McGinlay suite is superb :oyea:

Re: The Politics Thread

If Labour is winning Tamworth and Mid Beds the country is pretty sure they're the answer. Yeah I found it odd that someone fell for the Tory (and Corbyn supporter) propaganda that tried to downplay labours biggest ever bi election wins in history. Well it doesn't feel like the run up to 97, with a ...

Re: The Politics Thread

Seeing the Tories lose seats that (in a uniform national swing scenario) would leave them in double figures potentially as the third largest party is always fun. Pretty unprecedented times. Lovely to see but Labour increasing their vote by just 800 is concerning. The country appears hungry for chan...

Re: Sole destroying: Northampton home Sat 21/10 15:00

A fit Dempsey would certainly be a big miss but in recent games he's clearly not been on top form, 2 - 0 to the one and only. He was very poor against Carlisle and perhaps this injury explains it. Maghomas unlikely to be fit enough to start so presumably that's Morley, Sheehan and young George as t...

Has anyone been in the new hospitality areas as yet? Lion of Vienna suite upgrade from an ST?
I'm in the McGinlay suite on Saturday. I'll report back.

Re: Tonight's Football

First Wembley win against them since 77. A young Genshaw sat watching in awe of Keegan and Brooking tearing them apart. Unlike those pretenders, this generation is the real deal. 2 wonderful 2nd half goals with Bellingham & Foden pulling the strings. Defence looks sound and decent squad depth. We'll...

Bloody hell 😳

I thought the England game was good but that France South Africa match was insane. Even to a RU numpty like me, you could tell that was as good as it gets. A brilliant spectacle

Afghanistan are a decent side though. And we are on the decline.
Shows what having a progressive government in power can do, with a positive attitude towards sports :D

I worry about Morley. He's gone backwards since he joined.

Re: Oh to be in Bolton....At Home to Carlisle United , Sat 7th Sept. 3-o'clock.

It's the same issues we've been worrying about for 2 seasons now. Wilt against anything remotely physical and persist in this walking slowly towards the opposition goal while they get all 11 back and then being surprised that we can't break them down. We've actually added to that problem this season...

Re: Jon Dadi….

I hope there's some sports science behind it that restricting his time now, means we get a full 2nd half of the season from him. I never understood us signing Jerome on such a long contract, at the time of us trumpeting the new moneyball approach. Dan, I could sort of see why, if Evatt thought he'd ...

Re: What Age is Steven? Bolton v Stevenage Tues. 3-11-2023 7-15.

At half time last night my feelings weren't much different than Insanes on here. On reflection though and after 3 points I'm a lot calmer now. They were a good side and worthy of a point. As others have said, I did like their front 2 and would have both of them on that showing. I do wish we were a b...

Re: Vale of tiers: Port Vale (A), Division Three, Sat 30 Sep @ 3pm

DSB - Please tell me it's 30 years and not 40 when we pipped Vale to that 2nd promotion spot? :D Next few games feel pretty pivotal to me. Are we genuine promotion contenders or also rans? Point here, if we win our next 2, would be grand but I'm unsure how we'll handle a Steve Evans side nex...
