I drive (and thoroughly recommend) Skoda Fabia. I've got the vRS and it's the dog's bollocks, but you can get one with a little less grunt and they're very economical. They're basically Audi/VWs but you don't pay for the badge (no snob value to fork out for).

Aye. A mate of mine is a statistician and he's done some work for Dept of Transport back in the 90s. I'm sure he wrote a paper about black cars vs white cars in night accident data - I'll ask him tonight if it's published.

Being rear ended by a stupid arse in an articulated lorry who could not see stopped traffic!
