Re: Getting hairy: Portsmuff at home 13/4/24 3pm KO

Any news on Santos and Sheehan? I haven't listened to the managers presser Good news. Per Iles: Josh Sheehan and Ricardo Santos should both be available for the visit of Portsmouth – while Dion Charles is set to return to the squad. https://www.theboltonnews.co.uk/sport/24247475.bolton-wanderers-in...

Re: The Nostradamus file....

N'lundulu would definitely ask a different question off the bench. As long as the question isn't "Why did we buy him?" :D Nah, in all seriousness, he was starting to look like more of a player. I suspect it helps that he came on against Exeter when we'd just gone 5-0 up, and that Harrogate were 16th...

Re: The Nostradamus file....

Sheehan, Santos and (from the bench) Charles are all expected to be fit to face Pompey, per Iles in BN. Also says in tweet reply than Gethin Jones is fit too. And Dan Nlundulu very very close… whither Adeboyejo, I wonder?

Dare I say, I think, and I say again I think that no team has done the double over us this season.
Pies. OFC.

Barnsley the only team we've played twice and haven't beaten.

We have a chance, but, realistically, will require 4 wins, including Pompey & Posh. That's a tough ask.
Just. Keep. Winning.

Derby have won one in four - not inconceivable that our last-day trip to Posh could be a straight fight for 2nd

Re: Race to the tape: 2024's League One promotion campaign

Even if Posh win, a Derby defeat would leave our fate in our own hands. We could I suppose end up playing posh in three consecutive matches. Not sure on that, KP. 3rd play 6th and 4th play 5th, so Posh would have to plummet a bit. Or we'd both have to get overtaken by Barnsley. Having revisited the...

I think it's best to be in the top 2 after the end of game 46. :-)
Folk have made hopeful comparisons to the first Rioch promotion side, who only hit the top two on the last midweek I think.

Re: Race to the tape: 2024's League One promotion campaign

Very hard to say, Blu. We haven't made a great fist of staying in the top two... • We were top in August then crashed to Wigan and drew at Burton. • Briefly bobbed back in after beating Derby (oh yes) in September, then we lost at Reading and drew home to Posh. • Went on a winning run at hit the top...

Re: Race to the tape: 2024's League One promotion campaign

I'd say anyone below Peterborough are now irrelevant in a sense; Barnsley will do well not to fall out the playoffs at this rate. Aye. When my phone pinged with a Barnsley score update, I completely forgot they were playing and wasn't too arsed that they were winning - which, typically enough, didn...

Re: Race to the tape: 2024's League One promotion campaign

Barnsley losing to Stevenage. If it stays that way you’d think Posh would be the only side that could realistically catch up with us. It has stayed that way. Barnsley fans laughed when we celebrated what they called "winning the league" at theirs, but since then they've gone LWDLWLL (and the two wi...

Re: Race to the tape: 2024's League One promotion campaign

Santos we're maybe equipped to deal without by shifting Toal into the middle, playing Jones or Forrester on the right and Iredale on the left. Taylor looks a promising player, but I'd be reluctant to chuck him in now off the back of an injury, and having only played 190 total minutes for us. Sheeha...

Re: Race to the tape: 2024's League One promotion campaign

Lincoln haven't lost a league game since New Year's Day – W10 D6, including winning 5 of the last 6. They're now just 2pts behind Oxford, whom they visit on Tuesday. In the last 16 Oxford are W5 D6 L5 - although they have won their last two games 4-0 (albeit against two teams in the drop zone). I wo...

Re: Race to the tape: 2024's League One promotion campaign

Ugh, not looking forward to the likelihood of a team celebrating something again at ours on Saturday. Be a double kick in the nuts this time given we should have been fighting for the title with them. Because we're 9pts behind them, they only go up if they win. And that is decidedly not our plan. T...
