Re: Rangers are liquidated

none of these teams got automatically relegated to the bottom division. strictly, they were not even relegated one division. they were merely deducted a set number (ten ? or so) of points. None of them liquidated either though, which is what the Huns have done, on top of all their cheating of course.

Re: Rangers are liquidated

If they're allowed into division 3 as a new club, at least a lot of money will flow into the coffers of your Peterheads & Brechins etc I do wonder though how East Stirling will get on hosting 4 or 5000 travelling Huns twice a year. Well, I'm sure the same was asked of say Macclesfield when they wer...

Re: Rangers are liquidated

It's sad to see any football club being liquidated and if it wasn't for Eddie that 100million debt could see us fall. The fact that it's Glasgow Rangers makes people feel like its right for them to enjoy this. Yes it is a cliché but the fans don't deserve it and either do the regular employees. It'...

Re: Rangers are liquidated

Basically was the whole situation not brought to light because of Craig Whytes failures ? I doubt Rangers have been in serious debt for the last 20+ years. The money was there and these 'dual contracts' prove that and even though that's illegal, it's not cheating as it doesn't give an advantage in ...

Re: Rangers are liquidated

The way I see it is, the problem was caused by a greedy few, it's not the fans, players or the majority of staffs fault, they shouldn't be punished. Put it this way if our 100 million debt wasn't owed to Eddie we would probably be in the same situation with liquidation. At the end of the day they a...

Re: Rangers are liquidated

If Rangers get voted out what's likely to happen? Will they be able to start again as AFC Rangers in Division 3? They will still have to re-apply (along with Cove Rangers, Pollock, and likely others) for the vacant slot in the SFL. Their issue lies in whether they are ready to do so in time for the...

Mad Vlad speaks.... "The opinion of Heart of Midlothian FC in regards to the current situation of Scottish football is clear and robust. Re: Rangers are liquidated

Let's forget what's gone before, we'll agree to disagree, so moving on.... Your further post I still don't get. You're having a conversation I'm certainly not party to. I haven't pretended to speak for Scottish fans. I've no doubt your numbers on season ticket renewals are bob on. All I have offered...

Re: Rangers are liquidated

[2] I didn't pretend to say why the 'everyone' you seem so keen, at every turn, to speak for wants rid. I said why I would. Come back to this point because I've just seen some stats on the Dons board. First off, there was a poll of Scottish fans, over 95% of fans from all teams want Rangers out, a ...

Re: Rangers are liquidated

You never used to be this easy to wind up fatshaft. I guess moving back up to the third world can do that to a man. This is a highly emotive subject up here, I am one of the majority who will never be back to watch my team if they vote the cheating bastards straight back into the top tier; and to h...

Re: Rangers are liquidated

[3] I don't understand where you are going with that up to the last sentence. You may well be right like, but I don't know what you are on about. The last sentence may well be. I never said anyone gave a flying fook about the provincial towns, only that the quality of football in the league as a wh...

Re: Rangers are liquidated

I think you missed my point behind the massive chip on your shoulder! The standard of Scottish football is, IMO, shite. If you are trying to say it is even remotely close to the top leagues, you're talking bollocks. It is even less competitive than the English league, which is a stick Scots often u...

Re: Rangers are liquidated

It's a sad day for Scottish football, what's worse than a two team league ? A one team league manutd won our league 12 times in recent memory. that is (the league is) doin' ok. Your hardly comparing the two ? The English premiership is more competitive than the Scottish league, in the premiership t...

Re: Rangers are liquidated

It's a pub league[1]. Georgios Samaras plays started 26 games for the best team in it[2]. Hardly anybody outside Scotland/Northern Ireland watches it regularly[3], and the vast majority of those who do watch it for one of the Old Firm teams[4]. That far, far fewer people would give a shit should Ra...

Re: Rangers likely to be liquidated

If its left to the othe 11 clubs, don't be surprised to see Rangers demoted. They used group power when the idea of individual TV rights bargaining was floated. They'd be foolish not to do the same again. They might not like Rangers but I imagine they understand the massive risk to the survival of ...

Re: Liverpool laughing stocks?

Dalglish was a disgrace in his post match interview, and indeed just post match, handshake to Kean while not even bothering with as much as a glance in his direction, a look of pure delight on his face, the heights of 7th place presumably cause for such glee, while no thought whatsoever to the fate...
