Re: The athletics/running thread

Caught up. And another 7 miles run under my belt. 😊 Taking your running kit on work trips?! That is hard core! I’d see it as a great excuse to skip a run! Literally nothing else to do. St. Andrew's in lockdown outside of the golf season is...…….dead. Lots of American students though so.....yay! :ro...

Re: The athletics/running thread

Missed the last couple of days sets as I did a10 mile run, 7 mile hike and 36 mile bike ride over the weekend and, frankly, was knackered. An early drive up to Dundee this morning and a day's work followed by a fish supper means today's gone for a burton too. 🙄 There'll be time for catch up and a r...

Re: The athletics/running thread

Day 3 in the books And here too. Along with a rather slow 4 mile run. Squats and abs was easy today. I took a look at day 30 though! Focusing on getting to day nine for now  How long should we stay down in the squat position do you reckon? I'm fine doing them but not really in a unifor...

Re: The athletics/running thread

Done mine. Commandeered the mat after helping my daughter practice her backwards walkover. Perhaps backwards walkovers could be next months ‘challenge’? 🤔 Backwards walkovers? That’s another one you’re gonna have to talk me through. Done mine and a 3.5 mile run. https://tenor.com/view/walkover-back...

Re: The athletics/running thread

Think they realised they f*ck up your back so recommend crunches instead now. I did the squats today at the end of a 15 mins out and then 14.15 back (I think there's a name for that but.. ) would've been just over 6k. Involved 2 laps around the Emirates. Very quiet. Needing a dump? :conf: I just kn...

Struggled to do 2 sit ups, You Sir, are a God! Tell me they weren't consecutive... After a few weeks feeling shite, managed 3k yesterday and 4k today, so far. Well done, now you’re on the mend Worthy you’ve no excuse for showing BP how sit ups should be done. Join us! After a YouTube tutorial I’ve ...

Done. Nice easy start to the month...……

Quads are tight after yesterday's 14 miler and am currently trying to stave off plantar fasciitis in my left heel. Murder when I stand up but eases when I move round for a bit. So I guess I'll keep moving...……

Some people make me sick. 😉

Re: The athletics/running thread

Glad to be back running again but my legs are so weak. Tried a longer run on Sunday and had to pack it in after half an hour, calves just can't hack it atm! Probabl shouldn't have gone back to five days a week after five weeks off, idiot. Last year I was enjoying swimming and this January acquired ...

Re: The athletics/running thread

5 slow miles tonight for me, friend and the (bigger) dog. Happy with that. Time was shocking but want to get the distances in til 10km doesn’t seem like a one off miracle once or twice a year. That’s about 20k all in for February BP. I need to get out more then once a week! I think you secretly lov...
