I am not nervous at all. We can more than match them. To prove that we are top 2 in L2, we have to show it. They will have their moments in the game, and we will have ours. Should be a good game of football. Looking forward to it.

Bogey grounds.. gets to the players head when their team go one down... the bells go off... here we go again, the luck is against us.. the crowd gets vociferous ..Hard to pick themselves up after that...energy sapped.. the universe against us...written in the stars... Karma!

That was awesome. Ogbeta and Collins goals were beautiful in their construction. Won't see many better team goals anywhere. We so love teams who try to play football against us. They don't stand a chance.

Re: This Exe is on fire: Exeter (A) Sat 9 Mar, 3pm
Wasn't able to watch the game live and have only seen the extended highlights on Wanderers TV, but it was telling. Our defense looked really weak. I felt sorry for our skipper. He was all at sea from the highlights in his positioning and clearances. I dont think he is anywhere back to his best from ...

Re: This Exe is on fire: Exeter (A) Sat 9 Mar, 3pm
In all run in's, the seemingly "easier" games against teams fighting to stay alive are usually more difficult that the games considered "hard" so I expect many twists and turns. We can only take care of our business and care not for what others are doing. Every game from now on will be battles. I am...

Re: Raising the Bar: Barnsley (A), Tue 5 Mar 7.45pm
What a game. So many things to dissect. When I saw the "finishers" coming on I thought that was it. Not in a positive way. But we clawed it back. Such an important point. Collins showed us he has class. Thomason was too wound up at the beginning but played a superb 2nd half. Sheehan was pivotal to e...

Re: Pied and Prejudice, Wigan (A) 27/02/04.
We are not in a crisis but something is definitely wrong. Our forwards are not scoring, our defense is leaking and we are now losing games. We are still 3rd, but no one here is confident anymore that we will go up. We have some good players but we are now predictable. The top teams in the division a...

We controlled the game and would have come away with an important point until Jones rush of blood running out of his covering position. What was he thinking? Hard to break down 10 men sitting on their 18 yard box. Their strategy worked to perfection.

Hoping for the best but fearing the worst. Evatt will continue to tinker with the side and everything is a lottery. Who will he pick, I have no idea... except for Coleman.

From reports he recently signed a new contract to 2025 so definately not on his way out.

Thomason is a must start for me. He is our best and most combative midfielder and fresh.

He is "much better", even at 31 from an individual skill and ability perspective but based on how Evatt wants his players to run in his system, not sure even Messi at 36 would be a sure pick in our first 11.

Agree that Sheehan "looks" world-class when he has space to play. Struggles badly when teams get physical and aggressive on him. That's his weakness.

And he's not particularly what's needed. We don't play with a 10, and even for the jobs closest to that role we've already got other players like CMG, Collins and Bod. As Dibs says, smells like agent talk. Morrison is much better than these players, and can play in a no. 6 Sheehan role also if asked.

Re: Who opened the door? My money is on Janus! 2024 January transfer thread.
Morrison was a regular for Jamaica over the last couple years. In recent times he has been dropped, really because he no club. Still very talented and did not cause us any problems to mention. His control and ability to see and make a pass is still in tact. Seems to have matured over the years. As t...

Re: There's a Moose loose about these U's Take Twos. Cambridge United Away. 20/02/2024
Noticeable difference in the second half. We increased the tempo and Cambridge struggled to compete. I have no idea why of late our first half performances have been so lame. There were no changes at half time so Evatt probably read the riot act. Jones was my Man of the Match. Didn't put a foot wron...

Re: Red cards and Red Kits, Bolton v Charlton - 17th Feb 2024 3pm
I have not been impressed with Paris in the past with his little moments of flashes, nor his inability to tackle, nor his inability to shoot...but thankfully, and credit to the Manager and the player, he is definitely improving and can be a game winner based on his skills and ability to go past play...

Re: Red cards and Red Kits, Bolton v Charlton - 17th Feb 2024 3pm
I don't care what Derby, Posh or any other team is doing. Win our games and we go up. Right now, we are not playing well because our best players are either injured or suspended. Baxter, Santos, Thomason, Charles. Few teams are able to win games without their best players. We need them back. First h...

Re: Wandering, Why come back home? Bolton v Wycombe - 13th Feb 2024 19:45pm
The thing about the style is teams have really optimised the press against us. Press high then drop off if we get comfortable possession out wide or in midfield. They aren’t being drawn out and the hybrid press is a) causing us issues from the back and b) making it very hard when we do manage to ge...

Re: Wandering, Why come back home? Bolton v Wycombe - 13th Feb 2024 19:45pm
Needed those 3 pts and we did it. Much better 2nd Half than the first. I thought Paris had his best game for us. He was involved throughout his time on the pitch rather than in patches. JDC was superb and DadBod showed how to control a ball under pressure. Happy for his goal and Jones header was sup...
