Re: Lennon out!

Our away league record under Lennon. For the sake of completeness, we've also played two away Cup games, both drawn. http://i855.photobucket.com/albums/ab115/garyparkinson1974/Screen%20Shot%202016-02-24%20at%2012.10.24_zpszbw13aib.png Was at the first and last matches on that list, what a differenc...

Re: ED good memories or good riddence?

Maybe ED decided that he could afford to lose a portion of his accumulated wealth each year for the 13 years it took to rack up the debt? Bit like a smaller scale Abramovich. If you think that Chelsea, City are better run then you need to go look at your text book again. Their owners just have deep...

Re: ED good memories or good riddence?

I was asking BWFC_Insane for tangible evidence that ED's playing hardball caused the selling of the training ground and our place at the bottom of the table, though... not a couple of I reckon's and a sprinkling of ifs! :D (I'm not disputing that it was a drawn-out process - it clearly was - but we...

Re: ED good memories or good riddence?

Unless the £200m debt wasn't real, and it was only recently that the losses started really hitting ED (i.e. the personal loan that he refused to wipe off), which would make it slightly less embarrassing - but then you have to start asking questions about the whole motives for running the club. Eith...

Re: ED good memories or good riddence?

Eddie invested that money into a Premiership side. His initial investment was far less than Sports Shield have to put in. When Eddie invested the club weren't facing liquidation in a court. He did invest in a Prem Side - one with £30+m debt and no major plan to pay it. His initial investment was le...

Re: ED good memories or good riddence?

ED also presided over one of the most embarrassing implosions in football, with either one of the worst examples in the world of a meltdown of a football club or a level of book-cooking that wouldn't go amiss on Masterchef. really??? looking at it objectively - what has ACTUALLY happened to us? we ...

Re: Lennon out!

Not to disinter an old discussion but Deano played alongside Jiminho... Would take that. No compo required for Jimmy, he could take it short term until the end of the season, without long term commitment to the role (don't think he wants that). His previous caretaker form wasn't too bad if I rememb...

Re: Lennon out!

Has to go ASAP. Birmingham were poor, but look where they are in the table. I still hold on to the ludicrous notion that we could escape relegation, but only if we give NL the bullet (no pun intended), and only if we do that urgently to give someone with a shred of tactical awareness / people skill...

Re: ED good memories or good riddence?

I've been thinking about this one and to try and help me out, I poked around (fnarr) some of the old Accounts - just to check my memory wasn't being "convenient" - 2003 the year ED joined the Board and took a 30% stake-holding. Since I was made Chairman in 1999, I have repeatedly communicated the e...

It was like we were set-up and instructed to grind out a 0-1 loss.

Re: Get out of Jail Free..Birmingham away 23-02-2016

First match I've been to on ages, might as well stayed at home and stuck pins in my eyes. Birmingham could have literally played with no goalkeeper and we still wouldn't have scored.

Re: Paul Warhurst

Some very short memories here. Warhurst was fantastic for us. Part and parcel of the side that got promoted and kept us up. Played as a holding midfielder later on under Allardyce, didn't he? Paving the way for Campo, if you will? Sure as shit I' love him in the side anytime in the last 5 or 6 year...

Re: Spotty's Seriously Sub-standard Second Rate Transfer Thr

Bolton defender Francesco Pisano has returned to Italy, after joining Serie B side US Avellino on loan for the rest of the season. Basically more ir less the whole of last summer's buying has been judged a failure by the man who signed them. Derek is still around I guess but Pisano, Cassado, Prince...

Just watching "the town that took on the taxman" on BBC 2.

Off shore accounts, isle of man, the Caribbean, faceless holding companies, loaning money to oneself..... Hmmm....

Morning. Our assistant manager Steve Walford is on press conference duties today. He'll be previewing the @eastleighfc tie from 9am. #BWFC

Am I reading too much into this? Is it usual that Lennon doesn't do the press conference himself?
