Re: RIP Jack Chapman

RIP. If you look at the signings we made during his tenure, it's obvious he played a massive part in taking the club as high as we went.

Oh, to have a chief scout like him still!

Re: Jaffka's gossip thread on the ins and outs at the 'Bok

Why the hell did we give Robbie Blake a deal last year? Plus £5m on our loan signings?! Tuncay who seemed to be as popular with Coyle as Sordell, and hardly ever played. Kakuta and Miyachi were pretty similar, showed some decent flashes early on then faded terribly, is this to do with our coaching ...

Re: Jaffka's gossip thread on the ins and outs at the 'Bok

I can't think of any teams in the championship who can rival a midfield consisting of Petrov - Mavies - Holden - Eagles - LCY .. Pratley was good for Swansea in the championship.. Vela looks promising and we might even be lucky enough to see Moooo come back at some point. We can control most games ...

Re: Doomsday: Stoke away

McLeish has gone even though Villa stayed up! What does that tell you about our pusilanimous Chairman? Compare and contrast the decisiveness in two clubs. Yes, you've guessed it! He has shit for brains too. Clueless. I wonder if it’s the fact that Lerner is spending his own money while Gartside is ...

Re: Doomsday: Stoke away

But I genuinely think the fans, Coyle, the players knowing the QPR score had packed it in by then. Nobody could predict what was about to happen at City. One of those things. City never gave up, and look what they got for their trouble, and what we got for ours. Do we still have a sports psychologi...

Oh my goodness, 52 pages on this thread. Ive only just got home I cant go through all that right now but I shall do in time, out of respect to all the other Bolton fans who have posted. Im totally devastated. Cant begin to think of next season just yet, but just look back to what we have done and w...

Re: end of season party

Saw Ricketts and Petrov flat on the ground after the final whistle. Gotta admit I didn't spend too much time checking out the rest, went to see the TV's in the concourse to check it was true what I heard about City. And like a punch it the guts, it was. Got back out to see the Bolton players (still ...

Re: Doomsday: Stoke away

Just watched the MOTD "highlights" - brought it all back, one of the weirdest afternoon's of emotion ever. Both Stoke goals were harsh, defo for the first, and Crouch went down like a tart's drawers for the penalty. Before their second though, a classic Coyle substitution flashed up: N'Gog for Klasn...

Re: So we've got a fresh start now

Oh yeah, and as we'll probably lose Klasnic and SKD this summer, another striker who can score goals would be handy.

Re: So we've got a fresh start now

First up, we need a ball winner in midfield, and a commanding centre back.

If Coyle is staying, then we seriously need to have an overhaul of the coaching / fitness staff as well.

Hopefully our Championship status won't put off the likes of Chelsea / Arsenal / City's youngsters coming on loan.

Re: Outside Perspective

Hey guys commiserations on your relegation today just wondering what your thoughts were on us(Stoke) today and whether you feel the 5-0 semi-final defeat was the catalyst for your poor form this season, ans whether you should keep Coyle I personally see him as inept p.s. on a lighter note why does ...

Re: JUST FCUK OFF

Long-time lurker here, just got back from the match, and so annoyed that I've finally popped my posting-cherry! There's a quote that the definition of madness is doing the same thing over and over again, and expecting different results. That's exactly what we've all seen for over 12 months, and 2 tr...
