Re: For new signings, ask the man from the Pru

I think it is a good signing a this level the only question mark for me is can he stay fit. If he stays fit he will be a good defender at this level and PP seems to like the older player!

Re: Blades to boycott over ridiculous ticket prices!

Apparently Sheffield Utd have sold 3000 tickets. Glad we didn't drop the prices. And those who argue half the prices to get more fans in, this is why clubs model the optimal price to maximise revenue . No Shit Sherlock. Twice as many at half the price would still "maximize" the same amount of Reven...

Re: Match Thread - Sheffield United (H) - 6 Aug 2016. 15:00.

Looking forward to going to a game which actually means something. After the rubbish Euro (from an England perspective) and pointless friendlies will be nice to get the season under way. I am expecting nowt from the season, if we are not any lower down the pyramid and still in business by May it wil...

Re: For new signings, ask the man from the Pru

Contracts since Bosman won his case and the money has increased (in the PL) are in favour of the player or manager. Apart from Banking where do you get a bonus for failing. Every manager since Allardyce has failed and yet we have had to pay them off! There should be an agreement that all players are...

Re: New kit?

Betting companies are offering a service you either partake or not. Addiction to gambling has taken over from addiction to smoking and alcohol, as these companies are now banned from advertising. Personally I am not fussed what is on the shirt as long as they have paid the going price for it. I do n...

Re: Which muppet can we appoint next?

I think Ryan Giggs is not a bad idea he will come with up to date training methods and an attacking style, he will be look up at from the kids. There is also the contacts he has in the game to bring in loan players that would probably would not give Bolton a second look. He could also attract player...

Re: Which muppet can we appoint next?

Without looking through the 41 pages of speculation, has anybody mentioned Gary Monk, he has experience did relatively well at Swansea brought youth players through and is currently out of work. Whether he would come here with very limited resources and a transfer embargo! I think he would be a good...

Re: Which muppet can we appoint next?

What's baffling me is if you are currently in a job and you are successful and not on the brink of the sack why would you apply for a job at a financially crippled club like ours??? Wilder is currently at Northampton and apparently a front runner, last week he was drinking champagne after winning pr...

Re: Next season - might as well get it started now.

We have gone down in the same manner that Blackpool did last season, they are now languashing in the Division 3 (sorry League 1) relegation zone. I think this is where we will be next season unless we make major changes, we need a manager who can set up a team and motivate them, we need a proper Cap...

Re: Pride Park Comes Before The Fall - Derby (A) 09/04/16

I cannot be bothered, however, we were losing with the experienced players (coz they are crap) so lets stick with the young uns and explain to them that the result does not matter it is just gaining experience of the game in the big boys league ready for next season! We will probably be fined by the...
