Re: Ale
While I was in Montana I had a pint of Moose Drool - I cannot in all honesty recommend it. The following day I rendered the outhouses of Yellowstone Park unusable for several days I would think. Best Canadian beer I've had over here (bottles, but real ale) was Mill Street's Stock Ale... I think it'...

Re: Ale
Brewdog punk IPA Loving this at the moment. I too like straw coloured citrus hopped beers, but I hate Brew Dog Punk IPA - it has (to me) a very chemical aftertaste of that stuff that's used as a sugar substitute. My favourite at the moment is Thornbridge's Kipling but it's difficult to get hold of....

Er... because, being born in Eferding, he was Austrian. Ernst Doblhofer (* 2. September 1919 in Eferding; † 25. Dezember 2002 in Graz) war ein österreichischer Klassischer Philologe. Ahh. I see. His blurb on the back flap of the dust jacket just said he's a German professor of Classical Philology a...

Re: The Religion Thread
So it's Omnipotent-All powerful? Omniscient-All knowing? Omnipresent-All over the fecking place? as good a summary as any! 8) is all pretty useless and meaningless though.. if God is omnipotent - can he make something so heavy that he can't pick it up??? hmmmm.... No. But I bet Thor could... pick i...

Re: The Religion Thread
I'm not sure we can trust even this weakish attempt to wriggle free since these arguments require accuracy to the point of pedantry. Apart from the fact you should have qualified the assertion with "According to some German linguist's study of Luke..." (where I could have seen your Luke and raised ...

I'm not sure I accept your crow, but e'en so Bethlehem is several miles south of Jerusalem so outside the circle that includes Capernaum. Still, to end all argument, did not Jesus go to Caesarea Philippi (Mattew 16:13; Mark 8:27). He also went to Tyre and Sidon (Matthew 15:21; Mark 7:24. Sidon is 1...

So gold and silver Olympics medals. Wimbledone finalist. And first British male to win a grand slam since 1936. There are other candidates, but for me he should be a shoe in for sports personality of the year! You're probably right there......think it was Wiggins before this. :? But, don't you need...

The argument, as I've said, isn't whether you could but more like was it probable. When you say he did a fair bit of wandering I've got to point out that you can see the desert from Jerusalem and that all specifically quoted places where Jesus was stated to be in the bible lie within a circle of 45...

Re: The Religion Thread
That's in winding up and down Holy Land miles... in good old English as the crow flies miles it's 89.7 miles  ahhh - but there's a little-known short-cut via the B161 past the Little Chef and under the motorway bridge... you avoid the pilgrimage traffic that way... Although to be fair it's sl...

I too reckon did they bollox. Couldn't just nip over on Ryanair for a quick visit to Knock in those days. I've never flown there, just always went by sea; sailed there, just like all those pilgrim chaps and early missionaries did. That the word of God/Christianity was widely spread is well known, e...

Ream's clearly got his own responsibility to take, as was said in the thread about it at the time, he can speak the language. He's not moved to Russia. It does show how this 'no excuses' environment has fallen away though. If you're a football manager and your reputation and career in some way depe...
