Didn't Wenger do the Double in his first full season? There may be a comparison there with Benitez (who, despite joining this discussion, I don't despise) winning Big Cup. The thing is that in the fallow years following Arsenal's 1998 double there were definite signs of improvement, in the first te...

Its fine sticking with a manager as long as they're the right one. Indeed, and you'll never quite know for sure. If not winning a league in 4 years is the way that these things are decided, then can we expect Wenger to be getting his P45 should Arsenal not do the business this season? Of course not...

We've seen him squirm and enjoyed it, but surely now its time to leave it? Allardyce won't last long term at Newcastle. His football never would win the Geordies over UNLESS it was accompanied by instant success. Now he will always have to live with the fact that his best work was at Bolton. For me ...

he'd have been sacked by now had he not fluked that first champs league Quite possibly true, but then Liverpool are generally much more patient with their managers than just about every other club. It's no secret that those clubs who stick with their managers and give them time generally perform be...

Didn't he sped in excess of 20 million? If that's the case he deserves this sacking no doubt Aye but if you listen to a lot of Bolton fans they wanted us to be signing the players Fulham did. Healy, Kamara, Murphy. Glad we didn't. Shows that managers should listen to what fans say, then do the oppo...

and they are suing a user of a wednesday forum, am i right? again i don't know the ins and outs of that either Yes I believe so. I occasionally listen to the football phone in on Radio Sheffield and the goings on at Wednesday at Board level are always good for a laugh. Always makes me wonder how Bo...

People go on about the way Bolton is run and Gartside etc... But they want to take a look at Sheffield Wednesday. I can't pretend to know the ins and outs (really can't be doing with it to be honest), but their former chairman (of a month ago) called their fans "cretins" at a supporters meeting and ...

Got to laugh at Radio 1 news, apparently the Party started in a Manchester casino, where there were hired "burlesque" dancers performing. So it's okay for Moylesy to waffle on to Gordon Ramsey about his penis, binge drinking, and swearing, but jesus christ, don;t say Lap Dancers will you!...

A sweeping statement, but the Germans are generally better drivers than the English. If there was no enforced speed limit in England, Italy or Portugal, it would be a disaster ... in Germany, it's not so much of an issue because drivers put their brain into gear. Plus, the quality of highways in we...
