It’s like last season just with fewer people knowing we are getting beat every week. :D And less courtroom drama, although that does focus a greater proportion of the remaining attention on us getting beat, which judging by recent comments and signing decisions seems to be affecting Hill's judgement.

COYW. Looks like a 3-5-2 / 5-3-2? Nsiala and Zouma in defence, hope the power overrides the chaos! Iles describes it as a 4-1-3-2, with Liam Edwards sitting between the defence and the youthful midfield – and, by a process of elimiation, Dodoo up top instead of wide. Ah cool. Good for us going forw...

I must admit I am surprised we jettisoned Earl.
He seemed decent at both CB and LB, which given the limitations imposed on our squad size seems even more valuable...

Re: Onwards and Downwards: 2020 transfer speculation thread.
I remember Nsiala from the Shrewsbury team of 2 years ago. He is powerful and attacks everything, and against decent, pacy forwards is a penalty against waiting to happen. A lot more of those in the Champ than L1 so on that basis it might be a good signing. He and Zouma would be an entertaining and ...

Re: Wombling 3. AFC Wimbledon (H) 7.12.19 KO 3pm
My two penneth: - Fair result. They can justifiably feel aggrieved that there was 4min of injury time, and that we scored in the fifth minute of injury time. - Much pride about Mr Darcy's performance. Good touch and awareness as well as techinical ability. Can see why higher level clubs might be wat...

Re: Wham, bam, thank you, Stan - Accrington S (A), 3pm, 23 November
Yeah, it's interesting - a creative midfielder in a Parky side had to be very good because he was often on his own, but at least in Hill's side there's runners and options. If Verlinden leaves Chicksen unprotected in a 4-3-3, then he may do so even more in a 4-4-2 as there isn't the extra body in c...

The biggest problem imho is playing Bridcutt, Lowe and Murphy. I am not sure the three of them are more productive than Lowe and Murphy being in there, the balance is all wrong, they are all too similar. We were effectively down to nine men today.

Re: Deduction prediction
Shaun Harvey has an interesting background: 1994-2004 - At Bradford as underling of Geoffrey Richmond. Bradford went into admin 2002. Richmond declared bankrupt 2004. 2004-2011 - CEO of Leeds United. Check out Leeds' financial fortunes during this period. Involves a lot of CVA's and points deduction...

It would be funny if we went on a right tear and pipped them to the play offs on goal difference, including an emphatic win against them in the re-arranged game.

12 points from 4th bottom with three games in hand.
We have a decent team, we need some luck with injuries. Probably some limited options to strengthen further in January.

Am delighted! The perspective that we have suffered enough under the previous regime and deserve leniency wasn't one I was expecting the EFL to take, even though it makes perfect sense to me. Sharon and the legal team appear to have played a blinder here. Hoorah! :pissed: The EFL haven’t made the d...

Re: League One 2019/20
So we have six games before the start of the JTW. They are Accrington (a), Wimbledon(h), Peterborough(a), Southend(h), Sunderland(a), Shrewsbury(h). Lets say six points is a reasonable estimate for the amount of points the EFL are likely to deduct. If it is six points and we lose every game we would...

Re: Deduction prediction
Seems a tricky one. Will they take into account our previous ownership? I mean, hypothetically speaking, if a person with erm looser than average ethical standards purchases a football club, which under current EFL checks for owners seems perfectly possible, and then siphons money out of the club an...

Seems like we had Ben Marshall on trial and let him go... https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/fresh-update-reveals-player-has-left-bolton/ Original source is our friend Alan Nixon... Surprised that a.) He was available as a free agent, and b.) He was deemed not worthy of being taken on. I remember him...
