Re: What are you watching tonight?
Apparently (and this is from a highly knowledgeable chap) we need to also check out a couple of Icelandic films called 'Of Horses and Men' and 'Rams'. (So I've ordered them up too :) ) And also a bunch of stuff by the Finnish director, Aki Kaurismäki. I enjoyed Rams. It's rather bleak, as is Kauris...

Re: The Scally Kents - Gillingham (H) - Mon 12 Dec 20:00
The biggest task of our owners is to keep the players we have and extending Sammy Ameobi's contract until at least the end of the season. He certainly won't be getting a game for Newcastle anytime soon so get him on another loan quick. They may want him back for January to cover for Atsu who is lik...

Re: He's there on his ooown. Crazy Horse, he's there on his
Very good game. They were better in possession we always seemed to have just that little extra quality at either end where it counts. Sat on a two goal lead second half and it nearly cost us. Have to stop doing that. We will be ok against most sides in this league but Sheff Utd are a class above an...

Youth Cup tie against Chester tonight. Aspinall starts in goal, giving Jake Turner a bit of bench-warming practice.

Who's going to be cover for Alnwick btw? Young Jaaskelainen, or do we get to recall the hologram? Jake Turner seems to be the next in line. He's already been on the bench once this season. He made his debut for England U17s yesterdays and kept a clean sheet. http://www.thefa.com/news/2016/nov/14/14...

Re: Port out, starboard home? Landlocked Peterborough (A) 13
In all seriousness we've scored early in pretty much every game on the winning run. All seasons we've had problems when we've not managed to. This isn't a team who can up the ante and rip into teams to try to come from behind. Go 1-0 up, keep it tight and we're fine. When we don't do that early on ...
