Time to prove we're not just flat track bullies but can dish it out to the good teams as well. I believe they like to throw men forward so half an eye on us building slowly, followed by up tempo counter attacking when we nick it off em.

Meh. Much as I wanted to win, it was never going to match last years occasion had we got to Wembley. First half we should have been home and dry. 2nd half only they were going to win it until that final minute miss of Dion's. I thought it was odd Dempsey didn't take a pen. The ref, badgering Ashwort...

If Collins fails - Cheeky, late, low bid for Clark-Harries? He's going for nowt in 6 months if they don't get any takers.

Reminds me, it's been years since I heard the song
"What a load of rubbish!"
It was a regular feature, sadly, in the early 80s.

Been following the Post Office/Horizon scandal for a number of years with some professional curiosity. The excellent Mr Bates v Post Office nailed it. But there clearly needs people held to account, because some of the statements made are just untenable. I don't for one minute believe, between Fuji...

Christ, that were bad and made the long drive home (cheers BP!) even worse. Wing backs aren't functioning like they were earlier in the season, midfield were bypassed by the direct stuff. Toal and Santos are having more than the odd bad game now, strikers can't hit a barn door. Still fancy us at hom...

I'd not be shocked if Luton put a bid in for young George based on that tonight. Bloody hell, what a talent. And to think we nearly let him leave for a paltry million quid.

Aye, when has prioritising other comps worked for us in the past? Try and win every game we play. It breeds confidence.

It was quiet here. The wife dislocated her articificial hip in October and again November. It is completely unstable. So she is immobile in a brace until an operation scheduled for January 19. Stayed home and was in bed by 10.00 pm. 2023 was a bad year for her (and by extension me who got stuck doi...

Anger is such a wasted emotion but bloody hell have any of you been following the case of the subpostmasters v the Post Office and their horizon software? I'd urge anyone to give themselves 10 minutes and read this https://t.co/7efd2oBl5O?amp=1 Absolutely outrageous and a nightmare of Kafka esque p...

Warm applause for Darren Clarke at Cheltenham. They looked a lost cause as early as August when us, and just about everyone else, whupped em at something to nil. They may still be in the bottom 4 but look a much tougher nut to crack now and must be treated cautiously and with respect.

Re: Tall dark strangers at the door. At home to Burton Albion New Years Day 3-0 clock
Only one thing mattered today and that was that we got three points and we did. Granted, we didn't help ourselves in and around the final third but there was only one team in it, and had a couple of delieveries in been a few inches closer it could've been very comfortable. Vic and Tomo the standout...

Interesting that re the fitness. I always felt Warne would get Derby up and running and I'd not have been unhappy if they'd sacked him, when a lot of their fans were clamouring for it in September. A loss for them last night, might have slowed their momentum. Coming back from 2 down to win, well.......

Their 2nd goal was a belter even if I was a bit too panicky to fully appreciate it at the time.

Re: Murder on the Orient Express. Home to Leyton O, Sat 23rd Dec, 15:00
I have to say, when we're struggling to break teams down, I have never once thought "What we need here is a walking yellow card of a defensive midfielder who never scored more than three times in a season." I might think "What we need is an Ameobi" - someone who can win a game with individual skill...

Interesting debate and lots to agree with but I found myself nodding along to this more than most. Our problem is that we are one dimensional and when it doesn’t work we are absolutely snookered. And we’ve seen countless significant examples of it. Barnsley semi final was the ‘wake up moment’. We ei...

Very poor and very frustrating. Too many off their game at present. Possession based football is great when it comes off and can be a delightful spectacle (eg 4th goal v Exeter). When it's done badly, like today, side, side, back, side, side, back followed by panicked hoof into nowhere, it's enough ...

Disappointing and too many players off it today. Its been said before that we're flat track bully's who walk all over sides who let us play but often go hiding when faced wurh a physical press. As Santos struggled physically for once, it felt several of our lot went hiding too. And please, just once...
