Hope that's a boost for Collins, sharp.

Matete gambles wrong side too much for playing in there.

Gaps between the front and back three are astronomical. You can't defend like that. Half time stat was we'd won 18% of duels.

Not convinced by Schon, at all.

Collins utterly devious of confidence.

Bad bad bad.

Dempsey looks sharp, at least.

Bad bad bad.

Geeez. Season so far in microcosm. Another injury. Looking sharp in the middle but the cutting edge of a wet lettuce. Soft mistakes. Horrible at set pieces. The number of times we're pressing the edge of the box, they play forward and the back 3 are 15 yards in our half. Prime Vieira and Kante could...

Re: The ianevattable sacking

I sometimes wonder after watching films of somebody like Paula Radcliffe run 26 miles in a marathon and yet pro footballers get "tired" so easily? Who was it who ran a marathon a day for months not long ago? Just wondering..? :oyea: ae:) ae:) Anyone tried asking her to control a ball after mile 10?...

Re: The ianevattable sacking

What was the shape first half Saturday? Still 343 or back to 352 with McAtee up top. I think it will turns on whether he can get that front three to click, however you organise them. If he can, it's got the talent to score a hatful of goals at this level. And that takes the pressure off everything e...

Aye. And we had better players than Derby is a fecking reach too. Not many of ours on £1m a year. Where did Kane Wilson end up again?

Missed the first half. Saw 30 mins of the second. Very very bad.

The test for me with a manager has always been, can I work out what the plan is here. For that 30, not a fecking clue.

The competing gods of "funny if they didn't go up" Vs "if they don't go up they don't exist anymore" going on in a few heads I imagine.

Re: Tooling up: The summer 2024 transfer thread

This is a fun reminisce. I don't *think* I mean the man up game. He was generally awful a lot by the standards of a professional keeper, but there was one big looping, shanked cross that he seal clapped at that I remember thinking was sub Sunday League. I don't think it was that particular game; I t...

Khumbeni was loaned to Accy a while back, Mar.
Where he's been joined by Billy Crellin.
Was that where he had his particularly bad mare for us?

Came here to post that too! Insane. Would be very funny if they didn't go up. Absolutely insane that we continue to let shit owners gamble with the existence of football clubs, though.

Re: Dem Bones, Dem Bones, Dem Bare Bones....

There's a lot of work for the 10s in this system to do wide and in the channels. There's much more of a role for him now than there was in the 352, and we got (a small number of) performances from him then. The big q is his pace. That's a horrible injury. He's bright and technically good, so he'll b...

Re: Dem Bones, Dem Bones, Dem Bare Bones....

I take the point that we don't have much to go on, but I'm not sure the rest is quite right. He wasn't gathering splinters at Morecambe, but just promoted to the Prem Luton. He came here off no pre-season then got injured. Then went to Afcon, started to look good and immediately dead. Big qs over hi...

Both v good news indeed. I'd written CMG off until the new year. He'd be a great addition to this shape.

Re: Grecians from Devon? At home to Exeter Sat,31st Aug ,3-0'clock

From Arsenal, that's 3 southern away trips where we'd expect to need to play a pretty full strength XI, in 6 days...

Arsenal weds night (they're playing Sunday so won't be Tuesday) then Crawley at 12.30 on Saturday. Not much of a turn around.
