I enjoyed the book, I like the idea that the truth about our religous past might be different than written. My BBC comment was purely a mention of how often some of you complain about the BBC. I wish we had the BBC. Since they have guaranteed funding, they dont need to serve at the feet of the popul...

Re: Da Vinci Code

The film makes the book look good. Very interesting comment there, ATD. I mentioned on another bit that I haven't read the book but went to see the film, and the impression I gained was that it must have been a fairly intruiging book, dumbed town into film version for an American audience !! OI! Li...

I should know the Polish bit, but I think it's actually a bird either an eagle or a rooster of sorts. Austria has pretty much the same thing in it's flag/crest.

BWFC is the first tat I would get. I would then become a walking billboard for my beliefs and passions. That's why I dont get them. But I would love to be able to pull up my sleeve and show the world the old badge.

I think Beckham has been a decent Captain. I used to think it was Sol's armband next, but it might just be Terry now.

Since when did being Liberal become a bad thing? If you like to call us names, you better take a look at what that brings. The US is dominated by those that despise liberalism and consider it a vice. I dont think you want that do you?

Oddly enough you guys seem to have the reverse deal that we have here. The conservatives usually take advantage of good times and promise tax cuts while restricting the rights of the individual. Then a Liberal will take over and stabilize things, go to far in the name of the left wing, all the while ...

Post Turtle While suturing a cut on the hand of a 75-year old Texas rancher, whose hand was caught in a gate while he was working cattle, the doctor struck up a conversation. Eventually the topic got around to former Texas Governor George W. Bush and his elevation to the White House. The old Texan s...

I was not old enough to see Pele, and they dont show the highlights often over here. In 98 I remember being sat calmly when the move started and Beckham dropped that pass over his head onto his feet. 10 seconds later I realized I was on my feet in the middle of the living room screaming at the top o...

Larry gets home late one night and his wife, Linda, says, "Where in the hell have you been?" Larry replies, "I was out getting a tattoo." "A tattoo?" she frowned. "What kind of tattoo did you get?" "I got a hundred dollar bill on my privates," he said proudly. "What the hell were you thinking?" she ...

I wanted him. Thought that 4 million was good value. 7 million? A luxury only a "big" club could afford. He's a decent player. But my feeling still stands. Use him to score or play on the deck fine. Just dont even compare him to Davies in the versatility department or the holding the ball up skill.
