Yeah, I'm with that too GTE. We can beat anyone on our day, but so can quite a few teams on their day. The difference between average and top draw, isn't the worldie you score, it's how many times you score the worldie.

Yeah that’s the problem. Maybe they will award us the process and performance trophy at the end of the season. Does it come with an extra promotion place?
We'll be able to put it in the trophy cabinet next to the PPDA Cup.

Re: Not exactly a Derby. Away to The Rams, Sat 16th March 3-0'clock.
Evatt needs...... or....... Same shit. Out of our hands now. Pressure is off. Watch em fly. It’s too late now. Prep for playoffs and try and finally win some big pressure games. They can't afford to feel sorry for themselves. Posh and Barnsley would be level on points if they land their games in ha...

Re: Not exactly a Derby. Away to The Rams, Sat 16th March 3-0'clock.
It also seemed like our shit fans gave us plenty of support and fairly sure I heard Derby's booing (before they scored). At that point, I thought people were supposed to start feeling sorry for themselves...

Re: Not exactly a Derby. Away to The Rams, Sat 16th March 3-0'clock.
I'd rather us address the issues that we do have rather than swap out the approach to play like Derby did. We just don't seem to be, though. Show me a time in that run of fixtures where the club have had chance to take stock and fully address the problems? We've had a lot of games in quick successi...

Re: Not exactly a Derby. Away to The Rams, Sat 16th March 3-0'clock.
Talk about Jekyle and Hyde with the attack. Nothing in the final third compared to Oxford. Too inconsistent. Derby are a way better side. They were comfortable sitting in and I don’t think they ever panicked. The games that have cost us in truth are the Wigan ones, Charlton, Carlisle, Northampton, ...

Re: Not exactly a Derby. Away to The Rams, Sat 16th March 3-0'clock.
Certainly on top that half, without being stellar. Few too many passes astray (including Mr Sheehan).. They'll be happier with nil than us methinks. Might need a bit mire edge of the box trigger. Pointless punting the ball at Bod's head as he runs under the ball, jumps and wonders why it's 5 foot ov...

Re: Rugby Union
Missed it, mate, was out at a gig. Reads like a cracker, though. Looking forwards to this evening's games, although unless Scotland beat Ireland by more than 7 and Ireland don't get a BP for tries, the England game will just be a wrap up fame with nothing riding on it..

Re: Not exactly a Derby. Away to The Rams, Sat 16th March 3-0'clock.
Don't think it matters much, how confident we fans are (although when Harry said he was going to Blackpool and posted his rap-sheet, I wrote that one off!). Only matters how confident the starting XI are. :-) We need them starting like we're going to win it and push the doubt to the opposition. Don'...

Re: Not exactly a Derby. Away to The Rams, Sat 16th March 3-0'clock.
Even after Tuesday I’m not confident. Evatt is saying they are using the doubters to spur them on - so use the doubt lads, prove me wrong! I think the frustrating thing is on our day I think we are the better side. But our day hasn’t happened enough yet this season. To me, this is part and parcel o...

Re: Not exactly a Derby. Away to The Rams, Sat 16th March 3-0'clock.
All decent commentary. Given you can't get half points, you might back Derby for 91. So we'd need 6 wins out of 8. Whichever way it's spun, apart for a 4 team capitulation, it feels like a min of 6 out of 8 wins and that may not be goid enough. We probably only have room for maybe 1 loss as 2 might ...

Re: Not exactly a Derby. Away to The Rams, Sat 16th March 3-0'clock.
@Worthy interesting stuff, thanks for researching. I have a couple of questions… First I'm assuming the 2nd and 3rd mentions of "Plymouth" re this season are actually Portsmouth. :-D More overall. If we're saying that barring Pompey, this term's pace is currently slightly cooler that last year's – ...

Sorry mate - typo - 64 and we got +17 to end on 81.BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Fri Mar 15, 2024 9:54 am^Agree with the analysis I think we are looking at 90-95 points range if we want top two. And it will be somewhere in there.
However, we can’t have been on 74 points after 38 last season surely?

Re: Not exactly a Derby. Away to The Rams, Sat 16th March 3-0'clock.
I think there's some interest in looking at how many points the last 6 accumulated in the final 8 games, last season. Plymouth on 80 after 38 = 21 Sheff on 79 after 38 = 17 Ipswich on 78 after 38 = 20 Barnsley on 75 after 38 = 11 Bolton on 74 after 38 = 17 Peterborough on 63 after 38 = 17 Plymouth a...
