Re: Financiers, investors and white knights: What next for FV?
Yeah interesting investors. But ultimately don’t sound like they fancy stumping up millions to cover big losses. So we will have to be self sufficient. I wonder how much we would need to recoup in fees this summer without the extra championship income? One assumes we’d be set for a loss of 3M give ...

Never been done before and won’t be done again.
A unique player in the history of cricket.
And this summer I think he will probably go past Warne’s tally too. Remarkable.

Re: creeeeeeeekeeeeeet
With similar outcome last tour and COVID lockdown bubbles, there was outcry and replacements demanded. The reality is we've lost 6 of the last 10, 1 draw and 3 wins (7 of the last 12, with a token win v Ireland in the sandwich). It doesn't make great reading, but then again, having an India trip req...

Re: This Exe is on fire: Exeter (A) Sat 9 Mar, 3pm
Yeah I’ll caveat that by saying he might’ve been shite in training and is not in Evatt’s thoughts. However, he was playing for Aberdeen when he was very young and Liverpool paid good money for him, so don’t have too many concerns over his ability to kick straight etc. I think for sure, you'd rather...

Re: This Exe is on fire: Exeter (A) Sat 9 Mar, 3pm
I’m in the opposite camp and feel now is the time to be bold. We’ve brought a talented wing back in from Liverpool - let’s use him. I understand the principle. Is he any good and ready for a L1, must win? I dunno. I couldn't even tell you if he can kick straight, can do the defensive elements of RW...

Dunno, as a "most of you lot," I've only seen Ramsay for about an hour.
I've seriously no idea whether he's any good. He had a good two hours under his belt at Preston and about 90 minutes at Aberdeen. So in that sense, whatever Evatt decides will probably be decent enough to convince me!

Re: creeeeeeeekeeeeeet
^^ There isn't. We seem to be back to watching the bastards change the wicket after the first innings...In a way, it might help us a bit, getting a proper whooping, in the sense that we probably wouldn't want to go to Oz thinking Bazball was a panacea. Skill is also alive, well and required.

Re: Tonight's Football
You have to give some credit to Klopp. He's taken a RWB who was barely capable in L1. And is starting him or bringing him on, in minor cup games. What a turn around!

Seriously poor. 67-0, 218 all out. Every bit as poor as the last tour to India, unless there's a skittle-fest tomorrow before lunch.

Re: Raising the Bar: Barnsley (A), Tue 5 Mar 7.45pm
I think I've said it before on here, but the atmosphere at home certainly isn't helped by the number of teams that turn up to spoil the game, cheat, play negatively and waste time. If opposition players start time-wasting from minute 1 (like Cambridge did) and conning the refs (who we know are not ...

Re: Raising the Bar: Barnsley (A), Tue 5 Mar 7.45pm
There doesn't seem to be a whole lot of need to do the same convo as we had yesterday about fans. But a couple of things. I think the folks, knobbers, commentators (delete as appropriate) etc. are largely out of our control, so whilst agreeing with the point the personal attacks and booing the playe...
