I dont see why people on good terms and conditions shouldnt protest when those very conditions are under threat. It upsets me that some peoples response to this is "I dont get that, why should they?" when there response should be "They have good terms and conditions, why cant I?" and then organise t...

I rarely read fiction. My bookshelves are full of Lonely Planets. I never look at them after I've been somewhere but am always reluctant to part with them. Bill Bryson's "A short history of nearly everything" and John Pilger's "Hidden agendas" are ones I dip in and out of along with a book called 'T...

To my shame I have to admit that I wasn't aware there was a live music scene at the D&P. Dont go into Bolton TC much but I used to pop into the Man & Scythe the odd Saturday for my fix of live music. To try and help Mofgimmers I'll get my ass down there and support it in future. See you in there? An...

Next week however has to be that scummy manc lisa to go with probably the worst accent Ive ever heard. Nikki to win :D :D I'm a bit worried. Bizzarrely, I find Lisa quite attractive. At least until she speaks anyway. Please tell me you're joking about wanting Nikki to win DW. What an awful whining ...

Definitely endure my job rather than enjoy it. I Used to enjoy it but not anymore. I know I should leave but the moneys good, the colleagues great and I'm well aware that there are lots of worse places I could be. Tangos description of life as a Security Guard makes me thankful for what I've got. On...

And there was me thinking/hoping that you were the real deal, cunnngly hiding behind a spoonerism so as to avoid questions and allegations regarding post footie career impropriety! Blast!! Funny you should mention impropriety. There is/was a bit of goss re Mr Henshaw after his career ended. Not sur...

Like Cowdrill I was another 'Jonny cum lately' so went for the first Bolton player to score a goal in the 4th division, and for some reason lost on me now, swapped the lead letters around. If i'd gone for the scorer of the last ever goal in the 4th division I could now be called Sobbie Ravage.

No maybe that isn't strictly true the first half of all his books are pretty good and run along at a fantastic pace. It's the second half that really lets them down. I have never read such over the top claptrap in all my life. Do yourself a favour and don't read any of his books. Agreed. A page tur...

I agree with your sentiments Bobo and dont think any bstrd like this should ever be released. I dont think though, that its anything to do with Human Rights legislation and the HR Act. This kind of sentencing has been going on for years for all manner of crimes. I remember getting irate myself over ...

good luck finding bars but when you do oh my god its god beer I went to Berlin with a group of lads last year. Like you say "good luck finding bars" - most cities tend to have a party area but Berlin just doesnt have one good area IMO. We wandered around for ages trying to find somewhere with loads...

Been reading this thread with interest. Why do/did I hate Thatcher? No investment in Social Housing, large scale unemployment with the true figure being disguised ("a price worth paying"), casualisation (particularly in the case of the Dockers) etc etc. In a nutshell - I agree with Warthogs every wo...
