Re: Wrecking Crewe - In search of a Tin Pot to piss in. Crewe Alex (H). FL Trophy 7PM 8/9/2020

Very poor at the back, the middle is wide open every time Crewe come forward. We're not creating anything for our two strikers to latch on to. Oh for a Wheater and Beevers at the back!! Gordon doesn't seem to defend at all, a bit lost even at this level.

Re: Summer 2020 transfers

I fancy Edwards is starting the season on loan somewhere. Not just Edwards. I make that 22 of our 23 embargo squad slots filled, unless folk go on loan. And so far we've got two forwards and two wingbacks... Hasn't Gilkes the goalkeeping coach been registered as a player which might add one to your...

Unfortunately I think 2 games in 3 days will prove to be too much for our young lads, particularly if they've been up late finishing their homework!! (What a privilege it was to see that performance on Saturday)

A 'significant breakthrough' reported by Iles this morning. Good news expected in a few days apparently (48 hours?). Race will be on then to get some players in.

At least he has stopped us from administration or even worse liquidation, so at the moment I'll just say thank you and keep fingers and toes crossed for later !!

Re: Ken Anderson - New Owner (Definitely. For Now ..... )

FGR chairman Dale Vance: From Monday morning, Christian Doidge is back with FGR. We've taken the decision to recall him after his loan agreement expired last week amid continual contractual breaches by Bolton Wanderers. It became clear to us that Bolton entered into a contract to loan and then buy C...

Re: Doidge returns to FGR

I have been a Wanderers supporter for over 60 years, I have always, even in the old 4th division, been proud to say I'm a Wanderer and that my club was a founder member of the Football League. Mr Anderson has dragged us not just down into the mud but many miles below the surface he has made us an em...

Re: Peter Thompson

Very sad news, loved him during his Wanderers days, a true winger who left many a full back floundering before putting in superb crosses. I have always said that it was his signing that kick started our rise from the old Third Division.
Thank you Peter. RIP

I wonder if the only reason Parky and co are still in their jobs is that Ken can't afford to pay them off which he would have to do if they were sacked.

Turner back after breaking wrist, young James Aspinall, another of our very good young goalkeepers, replaces him.
