Re: Should Phil Parkinson be sacked?
I do strongly agree that it's less about the formation or tactics and more that we're a poor team that's getting blown away by the quality that we're up against. Our absence of players with real footballing ability is also hideously exposed in ways that it wasn't in the league below. Even at that lo...

I know that you just want to vent (and who am I to argue?), but I would just like to posit that he probably does this because there's the square root of f*ck all in front of him.

Re: Should Phil Parkinson be sacked
Circumstances beyond his control have meant that he hasn’t been able to assemble a squad of players that is good enough in my opinion, so that's why I’ve voted to stick rather than twist for now. As stated by others, though, he can’t have a free pass to lose every Saturday and he needs to find a way...

Spearing would probably improve us but I doubt that he would make all that much of a difference in the grand scheme of things. We still have largely the same problems that we had in the season just gone, only we're now at a level where the opposition are good enough to prevent us getting away with it.

If we didn't have bad luck we'd have no luck.

It sounds as though it's an entertaining match and that we're right in the thick of it. Good to hear.

Re: Turning the tide? Orwell adrift? Ipswich (A) 16/9/17 3pm
No idea but could it not be the usual 3-5-2 with Karacan Cullen and Morais as the middle 3. Noone playing deep off Madine? I feel pretty certain that Parky wouldn't play Madine in the centre. If it is a 4-5-1 then, reservations about Burke aside, it could work quite well for us. Solidish but with s...

Scrap that, I reckon it's 4-5-1 and we've set up to keep it tight. I don't know if having Burke in midfield is really a good idea but nothing else we've tried has worked so I suppose it's a least worth a go.

Re: Turning the tide? Orwell adrift? Ipswich (A) 16/9/17 3pm
The team, in squad number order, is as follows: Alnwick, Little, Beevers, Karacan, Noone, Madine, Robinson, Cullen, Morais, Wheater, Burke F*ck knows what formation we're playing. It could be a 5-4-1, though if Parky's attempted to solidify the midfield by putting Burke in there instead of Pratley, ...

Jamaica
Just imagine how tough the club chef had it in those days.

Re: The Promotion Commotion Transfer Thread 2017
I remember Noone looking like a very dangerous player against us in Freedman's managerial debut. In fact, I even seem to remember one of their fans posting on here to warn us all about how he was going to rip us apart (or something similar). I don't know why he's been let go but if he's still capabl...

Re: The Promotion Commotion Transfer Thread 2017
Just heard somebody on B.N site use swear words....Joey Barton seen at the Macron.... I can't see it TD, I think its a wind up, we couldn't even afford 1/4 of his probable wages - but personally IMO it would be our best signing in a long time. A proper midfield hard man / ball winner / leader which...

Re: Ken Anderson - New Owner (Definitely. For Now ..... )
To be exact they've just agreed a deal at this stage, but it does appear to be a formality.
It's the best outcome for us IMO. Let's hope we can finally attract some investment and crack on.

Re: Lost Opportunities
It just isn't true that they were discarded. We offered both of them new contracts but they turned them down. Is that so? Having been consistently been left out of the inner circle prior to that is it any wonder they wished to leave. Alonso was our first choice left back by the time that he left. T...
