Re: The Politics Thread
I think the radicalizing effect of Obama is as much to do with who he is, rather than any judgement on his political skills. So? Erm, well, if I understood correctly you were making the point that Romney would have been much more politically skilled at bridging the cross party divide, and ultimatel...

Survived it in Maine. Lots of wind and little rain for us. Geography for once helping us out. These things are scary and their ability to hang on over areas with high winds is nerve wracking.

Re: International Membership
Been a Wanderer all my life. Moved to the states when I was 2. 33 years later people know more about the sport here, but still know nothing about the Whites and they usually support the big teams. It used to be hell to follow the team. Basically through phone calls and newspaper clippings from the B...

Happy he's alive. It's all we could ask for when it happened. We got what we really wanted and his son got his dad. Everything else is gravy.
Good luck Fab.

I was hopig for a bit of group therapy for devoted farflung fans of BWFC. I mean most of the time we get stick from those living in England and nobody understands why were Bolton fans at home.
Add in last season and we all need a bit of help.

Re: New official BWFC website
Not as bad as the last version. But in general most team sites are cack. Bolton's is a little worse, but I only know that because I actually need it occasionally unlike my american team sites. They do seem to ignore the obvious and go positive more often than most though. (How many more damn years a...

Happy Birthday Monty! I think it's like anything. the more you get used to the concept, the quicker it goes. Or the more you understand the faster it goes. I used to think that Kings Dominion was ages away from my house. It seemed like that car ride was half as long as a trip to Florida. When I was ...

Re: Best Games you have seen live?
So few to choose from. Maybe that great pre-season friendly in Orlando last year. Or that 3-1 Thumping to Blackpool in 86 at Burnden. Maybe that great 0-0 draw v Blackburn at the Reebok. Not the Carling Cup Final. Maybe then it would have to be Plovdiv at the Reebok. My first Wanderers match with my...

Re: Joke thread
A photographer on vacation was inside a church taking photographs when he noticed a golden telephone mounted on the wall with a sign that read '$10,000 per call'. The American, being intrigued, asked a priest who was strolling by what the telephone was used for. The priest replied that it was a dir...

Red Sox have no names at home. Only the Road Jerseys. The Yankees never have names cause you're supposed to know who they are. (Yankees = MUFC) There are a few others who don't have home names. I think the Giants maybe. But anyways, it's a cool thing. Some American Football college programs do the s...

It's either going to be a stormer of a season or a bit of a struggle. Though I doubt the struggle will be far from the playoff spots.

Farewell Jussi. It was always calming to know he was between the sticks. We quite often had loads to worry about but never in goal.
