Re: What gives? The Invincibles (old) v The Invincibles (away). Preston (a) 1/9/18 3pm

Interesting. I like us defensively. Agree with Taylor coming back in - #StrongAndStable. Likewise O'Neil has shown he can be a solid presence with Lowe. Noone could probably feel peeved not to be getting a start, but Wildy's marauding, dribbling way will hopefully give PNE something to think about....

Re: What gives? The Invincibles (old) v The Invincibles (away). Preston (a) 1/9/18 3pm

Taylor recalled for Grounds but Wheavers stay put - Wilson isn't even in the 18 Williams, O'Neil and Wildschut start, Noone perhaps unlucky to drop but could come on (as could Oz and Donaldson) Vela on the bench, implying Williams may be the farthest forward of our midfield three or we're inverting...

Will we see Williams today? To replace who Mullayo? After a battering it would be easy to think changes, but who had a game bad enough to warrant being dropped? (I ask genuinely, not critically) Sheffield should be a wake-up call and today we need to revert to how we played before them? For me we s...

Ken's gone on tilt amd pushed all-in on a two and a seven He's betting that goals are goals regardless of where they're scored. POSITIVES He's tall. And he's young...

So there's a moneybag emoji, does that mean we've spent money on a player? Ie. it's a loan to buy?
Either that or we've offloaded someone.
I hope it means a permanent player.

The fact we've likely bid for a non-league striker and had it turned down suggests how desperate things have gotten! Conor Hall: You called? Worst comes to worst (n two hours time): Wildschut up front....

Re: Reconstruction time again: the summer 2018 transfer thread

You seem put out. Was he a good un' that got away? I started to watch his goal highlights but the first 6 were tap-ins from crosses. Got good pedigree, but was one of those that came to Newcastle, couldn't stop scoring initially, then went quiet and disappeared. Not sure how he'd fit in for us, but...
