Re: The only thing we learn from history is...

Many congratulations to you both Monty.

And there were people who thought tomorrows little 'do' was going to be the Wedding of the Year!

Re: BWSA Player of the Year Night...

Ok... Let me explain … Due to a lack of communication between the bwsa & the club, We advertised Players would be attending the last social evening...not realising the event fell right bang in the middle of an international break and most of the squad had been given time off and where away with the...

Re: New Milestone

Seems and awful lot of members (1 in 6) to have been misplaced?

Surely someone must have noticed - like the 500 of them who presumably could no longer log-in, for instance?

If there are 3,000 members then why are there only 2,498 listed in the 'Members' section?

Re: Carl Smith 1926-2011

My condolences William. My late mother was just a couple of years older than your dad and lived off Orlando Street. It's very likely he knew my mam and her brothers, one of whom must have been about your dads age. My first memory of Bolton Wanderers is sat on my granddad’s door step as a wee nipper ...

Re: True or wind-up?

Funnily enough (especially for me, who spent so long with pennies, threpenny bits, tanners, shillings, florins, half-crowns, ten-bob notes etc,) I never think back to them ever. On measurement though I still do mental conversions when faced with metric. My passport says 1.8 something, metres as my ...

Re: Downtime on Monday

I cant see the "view new posts" button that was at the top righthand corner, has it been moved or has the new software not got one? This. Before the upgrade I used to click on the 'view new post link since my last visit', and I could pick and choose what I wanted to look at - now I have to go into ...

Last time two Bolton players were in an England squad? Nat and Eddie Hopkinson I would guess. Seems to be a bad guess. Looks like they never played on the same team, so I will go with Hopkinson and Tommy Banks in the 1958 WC finals, when Nat was stupidly left at home. 24th May, 1959 is sligh...

Where art thou Batman... I miss his abuse of members  Batman is posting 'normally' and regularly on Burnden Aces. He does also continue to post on here but in a much more restrained way under an alias. Must be hard on him, poor chap - too much restraint can't be good. However, it's good to see...

Apologies - I was under the impression that Bench handed 'ownership' to Soldier.

Otherwise fair comment Kev - as BA is as widely known as ww or bb then I certainly did not think my offer would be taken as anything other than what it was - a genuine offer of help.

Obviously a couple of people did.

I'll play along if only for a minute Sluffster. Did it occur to you at any point, to make your offer via any of the mods or admins which would have probably been the courteous thing to do? For what reason - the offer is genuine - if the mods / admin didn't like it then it would have been removed. T...

You bugger, that's exactly when Kaka's gonna sign, you know that?!? I'm sure someone will be along to post the links - maybe from another BW site.... Kaka to sign for Bolton on 4th August at 2.00pm - read all about it at BA! I find it incredible how one or two of you have reacted to a genuine offer...
