My usual go to is 96/97 which was 101. Not sure about ye olden days.
If we kept up the scoring rate we've set in the last 10 league games for the rest of the season we'd score 107 league goals.

Just Sky making the toughest fixture of the season even tougher. It'll just make it sweeter when we win :pissed:

Re: Who opened the door? My money is on Janus! 2024 January transfer thread.

Right now CMG probably doesn't need a direct replacement but I'd say a wing back would help alleviate his loss as it would offer the wide cover that in theory he does provide. But it would depend on their not being midfield injuries. The two at the back would be problematic given we'd have Toal, Sa...

Re: Going for the full Nelson? Away to Portsmouth Mon, 11th Dec, 8-o'clock.

Horrible fixture, to be honest. Long journey down and then playing late at night on a Monday. Logistically it's awful for the team. Then you've got the chance that the usual wankers will jump on a loss as a sign the team can't cope mentally or whatever other nonsense they'll throw out. It's under th...

Re: Who opened the door? My money is on Janus! 2024 January transfer thread.

That's a very relevant point Ghost. Not sure how that effects others around us or just how many players already play at international level. That, injuries and cup games can certainly be a factor in the Leagues at season end. If it's not broke etc, has to be considered. Bare minimum then? I'd only ...

Re: Who opened the door? My money is on Janus! 2024 January transfer thread.

So who should/could/might we go for? No idea on "could" and "might", given the noises coming out of the club about having no targets...should? If we're not worrying too much about realism for a minute, the stand-out "Evatt would kill for him" player is Ty Campbell at Stoke. Local lad, City trained,...

Re: Who opened the door? My money is on Janus! 2024 January transfer thread.

As others have said, there's no panic; but there's work to be done if we can find the right ones for the right price. Any permanent deal we do will hopefully spend most of their time here as a Championship player. We probably won't want to do much to just cover the internationals, as you then end up...

Re: Match Thread: Pasties and Pies - A Tasty affair! Bolton v Wigan (H) - Saturday 19th Aug / 12.30

It’s almost but not quite as bad as thinking that if he’d played Maghoma it would magically have stopped Santos being bullied, Morley hiding, Sheehan and Williams pulling out of 50:50’s etc… On the "why you are wrong again" part, it probably doesn't help when you say things like this. What I said i...

Re: Match Thread: Pasties and Pies - A Tasty affair! Bolton v Wigan (H) - Saturday 19th Aug / 12.30

Evatt is right to address our mentality issue because it’s clear as day and staring us in the face. He’s brushed it under the rug for three seasons but it needs sorting. Evatt has "addressed our mentality" lots of times during his tenure - mostly as a way to excuse his own failings. Again, that doe...

Re: Snog, Marry, Avoid: Summer 2023 Transfer Window

Evatt thinks that Nlundulu is the next Ivan Toney even though his second touch is always a sliding tackle and he looks like he doesn’t know where he is…. So yeah I think we should seriously temper any suggestions Evatt has on how good players might be. Morley will never, I mean ever play at the top...

Re: Snog, Marry, Avoid: Summer 2023 Transfer Window

Evatt is unlikely to bin off a player he's said can go to the "top" in Morley and a player he just signed in the summer. A wing back and a mobile player who can play midfield and centre back are still what we need. The "ideal world" scenario would be that mobile, rapid striking option we've needed f...

Sorry but no. We played in an entirely unacceptable way. We shirked it. As Iles has said. This isn’t just fans or social media over reaction. Marc's a journalist, not an analyst. I like the guy, but I don't care what he thinks about the flow of a game. We absolutely did ply in an unacceptable way a...

I'm struggling with this - so ability and suitability matter more, so what happened to ability and suitability yesterday ? It's not that we lacked tough midfielders. we lacked a complete team of players with fight, passion, desire, bottle - when the going gets tough our players shrink & hide, if th...

Re: Match Thread: Pasties and Pies - A Tasty affair! Bolton v Wigan (H) - Saturday 19th Aug / 12.30

I think at this juncture on a forum, we're just supposed to say "ahh well." We could look for positives from yesterday, but I doubt that's getting to 20 pages. Sure, but there's a difference between valid criticism of a crap performance and the panic-fannying we're seeing across social media today....

A big occasion, strong opposition, up against a good, high press, and we've been found wanting again. ...but why would we not? What has changed with the 11 we put out? We have improved out attacking patterns, hence creating loads of chances in every game. However, there's no fundamental change in m...

Re: Match Thread: Pasties and Pies - A Tasty affair! Bolton v Wigan (H) - Saturday 19th Aug / 12.30

It's probably worth noting that we *should* have scored at least 3. Vic off Jones' cross, that Cogley miss, etc. I think our XG was about double theirs, but just with the eye with missed great chances. We had a lot of good chances against a team that can defend. We've scored 3 a game until now and a...

Aye or make some snap transfer decisions…sign a ball winner and ship nlundulu out for a proper forward…6 month loan somewhere more his level might be a good move. Nlundulu won more of his individual battles than any of our other players. He also created two chances. Far from a sparkling performance...
