Re: Snog, Marry, Avoid: Summer 2023 Transfer Window

I like this! And I certainly want to believe it (that we'll go up; not that you think it!). But, I'm genuinely interested in your reasoning. I can't do the in-depth analysis that you and others are capable of. For me, we've recruited a pair of keepers, neither of whom are worth £19m, and a couple o...

I'd recommend catching the U21 Final highlights. James Trafford being every bit the hero we know he is!

Saved a 99th min pen for Spain enabling England to lift the trophy. The 1-0 win means Traff didn't concede a single goal all tournament. Could we get him for, say, £15m with add ons?

Re: Snog, Marry, Avoid: Summer 2023 Transfer Window

That Maja thing may have legs, btw. From a very mild bit of digging: Maja's agent as of the other day was not entertaining offers from north of the border, though a concrete offer from Rangers would probably turn that on its head. A report out of Ghana named us specifically. Though Maja himself is ...

Old D2. Mid-table finish. It was the season we played *that* game at Southampton in the Cup.

Re: Snog, Marry, Avoid: Summer 2023 Transfer Window

Does Sharon saying the aim is automatic promotion + window opening tomorrow = getting business done early doors?

Surely, Sharon wouldn't have made that proclamation before entering into negotiations? It would simply bump prices.

40 pages in and not a sniff of a signing. Boo! Evatt out! Sharon out! Domingos out!
WTF? Have we un-signed yesterday's B Team striker? We're on a roll, mate...

B Team. That's me all over. 😁

Bought my ST for the local National League side earlier this week. I look forward to giving Dicko some grief when the Monkey Hangers turn up next season. 😆

Re: Snog, Marry, Avoid: Summer 2023 Transfer Window

After looking through the BN's "23 former Bolton players released by their clubs." I've not seen any I'd want back. :-) I'd be tempted to get a look in at Danny Ward as covering striker and Will Jaaskelainen for backup keeper. Aside from that there's not many that jump out. Bridcutt perhaps, Madine...

Re: We shall not be moved. Play-off away to Barnsley,Fri, 19th May, 20-00

We finished last season on a high, albeit with no chance of playoffs. These season we stumbled into the playoffs and got dicked by an average side. Just doesn't feel like genuine progress. I see no improvement next season. I also think I like being a football fan less and less every year. Also I ha...

Re: We shall not be moved. Play-off away to Barnsley,Fri, 19th May, 20-00

I think that we are some distance off We finished 5th. I agree improvement is needed if we want to go up. For me, that's about consistency: we need to be beating mid to lower table sides regularly and taking more points off promotion rivals. But, I don't think we're far off that. Two or three signi...

Can I just point out that in the three play off games in league one there hasn’t yet been an away win?

Law of averages suggests that one is due? Got good vibes about this, though a large part of me thinks romping the league (D1) next season would be more fun.
