Re: Pieces of eight or a "Joey"? Away to Bristol, Sunday May 7th 12,0 clock

Got a sinking feeling that we're not going to win the league today. Understandable having Dixon in the side. Nice sign off for the player. Perhaps we're paying for appearances for Bradley and Trafford, so it makes financial sense as well. Few concerns over fitness levels of Santos. Notably no...

Re: Pieces of eight or a "Joey"? Away to Bristol, Sunday May 7th 12,0 clock

Great news regarding Rico, Iredale and Bodvarsson. I suspect Rico will be back in for the Bristol City game to help him get some minutes. Not sure about Bodvarsson or Iredale but that would be a good time. I'm a little torn over this game as to what would be a good use of the game. It's got very lit...

Re: Snog, Marry, Avoid: Summer 2023 Transfer Window

Whatever happens, it'll be a challenge to replace Trafford. The concerns about our ability to sign decent GK's should be well documented by now that we'd take significant insights to resolve it. Perhaps the new goalkeeper that City have signed would prove to be a good replacement. Seems like Man Cit...

Re: Snog, Marry, Avoid: Summer 2023 Transfer Window

Are we assuming Dixon will be released and Hutchinson promoted to 2nd keeper? Therefore just the one senior keeper to find? I'm not assuming anything but if Dixon is kept on it might just be the single most surprising thing Evatt has done. Like Brommers, I'm also not sure we'll promote Hutch that f...

Re: End of Season Awards

I heard that Charles had been moonlighting for other teams under the guise of Firstname Lastname whilst wearing a Kachunga face mask so maybe that may have been a factor in him not getting the nod.

Re: End of Season Awards

Bit surprised by a clean sweep by Bradley, although I'd have probably had him for Young Player.... Young Player of the Year: Shared Traff/Bradley Players player of the season: Bradley Player of the Season: Bradley One thing it shows, that I think we sorta knew, possibly two chunky holes to fill nex...

Re: January 2023 Transfer Window

Had a quick look at Fossey and Kioso, knowing full well we need a RB next season. Ideally we'd get Bradley back in the Championship, but I suspect we'll not come close. Fossey is doing well in Standard Liege, whereas Kioso has barely got a sniff. Perhaps Kioso would be worth a sniff in terms of gett...

Re: Beware the man in black..Home v Fleetwood, Sat 29th Apr. 3-0'clock.

Relaxed - I don’t think we’ll win our semi final. Getting there was the aim, and there are four teams clearly better than us in this league. If we lose, we lose. Given our all, heads can be held high etc. Wednesday and Derby have a much bigger budget than us and Barnsley might as well! I’m not nerv...

Re: Beware the man in black..Home v Fleetwood, Sat 29th Apr. 3-0'clock.

I’m with DSB all the way - I’ve never felt so relaxed about play offs, and wouldn’t next season for sure. Shows Evatt is a top manager as well - over Tuesday and did it when it counted. We’d have got the result at Bristol we needed as well if it came to it. Relaxed about the playoffs? I'm happy tha...

Lovely result. Been ages since we've played in play offs so this is a nice way to see out the season.

Re: B Team Thread 22/23 Season

It’s brand new and they’ve had to throw enough players together to play matches. These things can take a bit of time. Start judging the standard in 2-3 years and see what comes through Exactly this. We need to make ourselves a desirable place to come. Any kid decent at football would've looked at o...

Well that was certainly not my intention! I'll add that Sheffield Wednesday and Barnsley will be booking their Wembley travel regardless . You're welcome. 😁 :D Nah, too late, I’m on such a roll that I’ll counter thusly: three of the last four semi-finals in this division were lost by the team that ...

Re: January 2023 Transfer Window

To qualify what I mean – Big Dan has mainly been a disappointment in a ‘trading club’ / Moneyball way. We need to find more Dapos, not just in terms of goals and assists but also players falling off the Big Club Academy production line for us to acquire cheap and sell expensive. Jerome has not look...

Re: No Pancakes please on Tuesday. Home v Accrington Tues, 25th Apr. 7.45.

Plymouth dropped out of the playoffs at the death last season, with a 5-0 home loss to MK. They recovered alright. Not making the playoffs would be a huge disappointment but it wouldn’t mean the season is a massive massive failure. Far from it. Had someone said that come the final two games of the ...

Re: No Pancakes please on Tuesday. Home v Accrington Tues, 25th Apr. 7.45.

That three points required from the last two games has now turned into 6 points required as I can see Sheff Wednesday and Barnsley potentially looking to play favourites in the who joins them in the play off race. Sheff Wed-Derby and Barnsley-Posh were final-day fixtures that gave hope. Now they ca...

Re: No Pancakes please on Tuesday. Home v Accrington Tues, 25th Apr. 7.45.

I'm certainly with the signings haven't worked. N'lundulu gets the ball and you think "yes Dan. Decent position, decent take" then he has zero clue what to do next. Shola, Mbete. Gambles not paid off. Jerome dunno what the thinking was. But Vic had 13 league goals. They can't all have been flukes (...

Re: No Pancakes please on Tuesday. Home v Accrington Tues, 25th Apr. 7.45.

We've got Fleetwood (H) and Bristol Rovers (A) left to play. Neither of which have anything left to play for this season. Accy was always the toughest one as they had to get a result. Thing is though it’s alright saying that, then all of a sudden we play Barnsley or Wednesday and they have to fight...

Wasted opportunity and no doubt the players will be frustrated as hell. Last couple of season's we've had players wh...
