Evenin all

Post by Verbal » Thu May 03, 2007 10:32 pm

Been on here for a bit - finally got around to starting to post frequently so thought I may as well say hello.

Hello.

In other news...Was a season ticket holder since 1999 (I think!) until last year, when I moved down to Bath to study at university. I catch most home games when I go back up, but since there isn't a hotbed of Premiership clubs near the Southwest, I've decided I'll have to take a trip to b/ham, villa and a few london clubs next year!

Favourite Bolton moment - Beating Liverpool 3-2 in the carling cup q/f. Nicky Hunt was sat a few rows behind us with his extremely attractive girlfriend (who probably didnt appreciate the attention of about six 15 year olds ogling at her), but the atmosphere and the performance on the pitch was stellar.

So, hows things?

Alright mate, I'm another student in exile from the North (if not Bolton itself). What are you studying in Bath?

Politics with Economics...politics can be quite interesting, though economics is actually a joke.

Where/what are you studying mate?

Good stuff - they're two subjects I've always been interested in too. From what I have heard, I'm guessing that you are saying that about first year uni economics because it's actually easier than A2?! (Which I did, incidentally...)

I'm studying law at Cambridge at the moment and I'm off to Utrecht next year for an exchange year.

Hello. I worked near Bath a few years ago and used to use the sports facilities at the uni in the evening.

hi

Yeah, the sports facilities are awesome...it's weird when they have top class atheletes training there alongside regular students. It's pretty surreal when you see Jason Gardner, Andy Farrell and Seb Coe using your gym...makes you feel healthier than you are 8)

how was Bath (or near it) for you then?

Welcome Verbal,

I'm also stuck at uni the south. I'm quite close to Bath in the holidays near Malmesbury.

Yeah, Stephanie Cooke who won gold at the 2000 olympics was training there at around the same time as me. I was working for a software house at Limpley Stoke, a few miles outside Bath. Bath was sort of ok, but it was winter when I was there so didn't really see it at its best. I had digs in an attic in and old Georgian terrace on a hill just outside the town centre. Incredible views at night.

Ah that's unlucky man - absolutely boiling down here and most of the time I try and sit on the grass by the campus-lake and drink expensive cider :)

But yeah, absolutely beautiful city.

Hi Verbal!
I'm Hoss, but you can call me Hoss.
Never been a student myself though I did once buy half a bitter shandy and paid for it by cheque. Does that count?

Welcome and enjoy. :D
