New american bolton fan
Hello, my name is Terry. I'm from New York city, and I'm a ny red bull fan, but more importantly, a Bolton fan. Sad thing is, I'm a newbie when it comes to the trotters. I became a huge soccer fan in 2005, starting to support the metrostars (now the red bulls). I wanted to find an EPL team to support, because the style of play over there is way better, especially two years ago when MLS sucked even more. So I picked bolton, because I knew three players: Borgetti, Giannakopoulos, and Nakata. So I was happy with that. But I couldn't find a way to watch bolton games, because at Fox Soccer Channel, saturdays were filled with Man utd, chelsea, and arsenal games. So, up until when bolton lost 3-2 to reading ( I think thats what it was, I don't remember) where we were leading until the 80th minute and then lost everything, I couldn't watch bolton games.
Then, I found a site where you could stream live football matches for free. And after that, I watched every match, and became a heavy bolton fan. This season I'm particulary excited about whilhelmsson coming.

G'day, Terry, welcome aboard. Some on here will tell you that our support is atrocious so, if they are correct, we need anyone and everyone we can get.
To be honest, mate, I look forward to the day (though it probably won't be in my life time) that Association Football (soccer) becomes a popular sport in your country. You have the population and you have a sports mad citizenry so I'm sure it'll happen some day.

Welcome, mate.
I became a bit of a Metrostars fan when Djorkaeff moved over there. I have to say, even the very small emotional investment I had made in the Metros made the rebranding to RBNY a bit hard to swallow...
Still hope we can beat the Revs though and I think it's possible given the strength of the roster this year - Reyna and Angel are both good players, and, of course, Clint Mathis!
