That's just not true. I also think I'm only pedantic against those who are pedants. No-one actually thinks they're the dick who goes on about it all the time. The truth is, we probably both are .

It's just possible they might be trying to help him. Sometimes he asks for an explanation and it is given. While I can't be bothered to defend myself if that is the view, I don't think Dujon for example can be accused of pedantry.
