And hello from me!

Post by Dartisan » Mon Jan 29, 2007 4:35 pm

I'm a London white, 27, in the New Cross area. For the non London knowledgeable that would make Millwall my local team. For some funny reason when growing up here in the '80's I was brought into supporting my Dad's home-town team of Bolton rather than Millwall, I wonder why.. (other than the obvious, it was because all the Millwall supporting kids at school were 'tosser, son of tosser').
I have, nonetheless, spent many a good night out drinking in Bolton (and not always just with the relatives :-) )

Favourite big games: Marseille & the Boro league cup final (... which is kinda daft really, as they were both defeats! But the whole European Tour experience and atmosphere was class, and I was just chuffed as fook at making it to a final for a change!... though felt a bit bloody guilty that so many season ticket holders couldn't get a ticket, and I'd picked up ours through a pricey agent :? )

Owdo Dartisanlad.

Allways enjoy The Whites London away trips cos my son lives in Kilburn,(next to Kilburn tube station on Shoot Up Hill, which has got to be one of the greatest names ever, for a road!)

So we usually end up in The West End after games, had many a good piss up in "All Bar One" in Leicester Square.

Looking forward to Wet Spam away this year, cos we may send them down..........again! Now that would be fun, would'nt it?

Settle in, kettle on, make yourself at home. You're already getting comfortable on the main boards, this is a practice pool usually featuring stories of favourite players, first games etc to get you warmed up, 'sup to you.

You may be aware that there are quite a few London Whites, more "ex-pats" than wisely-bred "locals". They/we get together before games and for regular evenings of alcoholic refreshment. For more see http://www.londonwhites.co.uk/

Enjoy!
