Welcome along AT2, I'm out Twickenham way meself. Enjoy the boards, don't forget to read the front-page articles (click Home) and feel free to donate your own - rambling or otherwise - a crack team of editors will tidy it up if need be!

Other side of London from me then. Been in Canary Wharf for the last couple of years. Right-ho, someone is actually expecting me to do some work so best be off..

Re: Bench told me to say something
Worked at One Canada Square (for non-locals that's the big pointy building widely known as Canary Wharf, which is the area it's in) on Sunday nights for the Telegraph website, back in the day. Have to say it was the most depressing place I've ever worked (and I've worked at Indespension). Sick Building Syndrome, largely empty building, dull work, late finishes, and that Sunday-ruining feeling of having Stuff To Do Later which means you don't get to fully enjoy half of your weekly holidays.Abdoulaye's Twin wrote:Been in Canary Wharf for the last couple of years. In the half-gloom of a winter's evening, it didn't look as nice as what it's named after. Or for. Whichever.Montreal Wanderer wrote:Still, the square must have been nice, eh?Dave Sutton's barnet wrote:Worked at One Canada Square (for non-locals that's the big pointy building widely known as Canary Wharf, which is the area it's in) on Sunday nights for the Telegraph website, back in the day. yeah its not the most exciting place to work. But I have the compensation of working with lots of European women that are worthy of gracing the cover of some magazines...eases the boredom of the placeDave Sutton's barnet wrote:Worked at One Canada Square (for non-locals that's the big pointy building widely known as Canary Wharf, which is the area it's in) on Sunday nights for the Telegraph website, back in the day.
