Alrite, this is a long time listener 1st time caller kind of thing, always checking on here so thought id take the plunge and register, complete with pretty awful username. why isn't muamba number 5? its just plain wrong.

anyway, I'm 20, I've been a bolton fan since my uncle used to take me to burnden, i used to have a season ticket but can't afford it now I'm at uni. oh, and i'm from wigan! haha, tho my mum's half of the family are all from bolton

Hows passport control on the A58 these days?

Don't worry so much about where you're from - as my brother-in-law said to me (whilst we were in Blackburn last week) "I can proudly say I'm from Wigan now, and know there is somewhere worse".

thanks fellas, I could seriously waste too much time on here, I get well into the transfer gossip. I don't get to as many games now so its good to get (some) more informed views. I'm in the give Megson a chance club btw, we're stuck with him, at least he says the right things

Welcome, Lou Bega. My mum's side of the family are all from Wigan. To take a Sammy Lee positive from that, I'm the fecking Egon Ronay of the pie ont' match!

Welcome LB. We'll forgive the Wigan bit as you at least support the right team.

Get used to Tango, he'll never use someone's full title when a shortened-version will suffice :)

does anyone want to talk about Kevin Nolans ability?

Post by lovethesmellofnapalm » Mon Aug 25, 2008 8:20 pm

New to the site. Most entertained so decided to join. Only manage to get to the Reebok about 6-10 games a season these days. (4 bairns, live a bit away etc) so open to charge of being a part time supporter but also means i can be more objective than most. Went to Stoke and on evidence of that ( we were sh*t for the most part and won because Stoke got stage fright and were missing best two players) and Newcastle highlights reckon this might be the season we bite the bullet of relegation.Megson has changed nothing- tho Muamba looks decent hes a young lad and will probably get brought down to the level of the rest of our non-passing, immobile midfield. Obrien (a) is a liability and Jussi not what he was. My hope is that we at least try to play some football this season- not been much of it in last 3 seasons
