greeting from Boston

Post by rozzy73 » Sun Nov 21, 2010 6:46 pm

I suppose that you're probably getting a pile of yanks joining up because of Stu. Here's another one for the group. I promise not to be an annoying pom-pom for Holden and try to contribute something reasonable intelligent from time to time.

Admittedly, I haven't watched much of Bolton before this year, but so far I'm really enjoying their play under Coyle. It's great to watch a real 4-4-2 being played properly, and I've quickly become a fan of Davies and Elmander.

you are very welcome!

here's the rules:

never call it soccer
never describe our strikers as the "offense"
a draw is a draw - not a tie

you'll be fine!

Its also the penalty area, not the end zone.

But regardless, the more the merrier. Now if you could all club together and put a few quid towards his wages, we might be able to keep him past this season.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

Welcome!

And don't get too hung up about coming across in any way intelligent. Some of us pride ourselves on being removed from that....

Welcome indeed. Just a couple more "dont's":

We don't have goal-shooters, we have strikers.
We don't have goal-tenders, we have keepers.
We don't have put-inns, we have throw-ins.

You'll be fine here, come on in.

Big welcome.

It's a crazy, tedious, joyous, morose world as a Wanderer...

Holden is a star. Outstanding.

Enjoy T-W.

Welcome Rozzy.

How's Boston? Visited about ten years ago - a great city. Loved Faneuil Hall, the nightlife and the lobsters arriving in the late afternoon!

How do you know she is from Boston (I'm assuming she with the pompom talk)? Anyway, welcome Rozzy.

Hello hello.
Been to Boston twice but never long enough to acquire an appreciation for it. High point of my first visit was accidentally stumbling across the entrance of Cheers while I was hopelessly lost and looking for a hotel during my university days.

Anyway, welcome!

Welcome aboard. Most Bostonians these days will be jumping on the Liverpool bandwagon so good to see not all are entering the dark zone.

Okay, so I'd had a few drinks....
5-1 against the Toon, Habs beat the Leafs and yesterday Montreal beat Toronto for the Eastern championship of Canadian football and a place in the Grey Cup. I had been celebrating...

I actually read Rozzy's post three times and thought "where does it say anything about Boston".

Monty! I'm horrified. Everyone on here knows that I'm an alcoholic - even a drunken twit - but you being a 'lush' doesn't fit with your research librarian image.

May the world keep turning ... Cheers! :pissed:

I'd laugh me cock off if it was just a typo of Bolton.
