Hi

I just wanted to use this thread to introduce the Grassroots Sports Foundation. http://www.gsfuk.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

The Grassroots Sports Foundation aims to improve the lives of Disabled, Injured, Sick and Under Privileged people throughout the UK. We are official fundraisers for Help for Heroes and ALL profits raised are split equally and donated to Help for Heroes and a different Charity and a different Sports Community Project / Cause each quiz.

We run a UK Football Quiz via an SMS text service, it gives people the chance to win prizes whilst also supporting charity, Each Quiz lasts 14 days and can be entered into at any point during that period.

As part of our Pre Launch we are inviting people to visit our website and make a donation, all funds raised during the official launch will be donated to Help for Heroes. Everybody donating at least £1.00 will be entered into a draw to win one of 10 x £100 cash prizes (Prizes courtesy of the GSF and are not deducted from Donations)

We are not a charity, but we what we do is donate ALL profits back to charity. Over the next few months we will also be introducing football memorabilia auctions and regional sports nights with ALL profits raised from these being donated to charity.

We are asking Fans, Players and Members from football clubs at all levels to get involved and also see if we can support them too. We would like you to contact us with Community Projects / Causes you are involved with / know of that need funding support. We are open to all requests, it may be you know of an individual needing help to purchase a wheelchair, a local club or school needs new goalposts, or your supporter’s team needs a new kit! We will consider all requests so please contact us, details are available on the website.

All fundraisers serve an excellent purpose however we feel the UK Football Quiz is something a bit different as it can not only brings communities together to support projects close to them, it also supports National Charities (Help for Heroes) and also offers everyday people the chance to win prizes.

The GSF is being promoted through Facebook, Twitter and the Media. Local BBC radio stations as well as independent ones are all being very supportive, we have had a few mentions already and you will be hearing about us on various sports bulletins and features on a regular basis. We are also in contact with the National Media such as Sky, Talksport, Football Publications, Websites, etc and although it takes a bit longer we will also be featured at different stages with the above.

By the end of March 2011 we will of contacted every league and football club from Premiership to Level 8 of the football pyramid to introduce the GSF and what we do. We are also contacting amateur clubs at every level - Women / Juniors / 5 and 6 a side / Sunday Mornings and Veterans, we are doing this via research and FA assistance but if you would like to contact us direct to let us know of your team please do so via the website.

We want to bring Football Fans, Players and Members together, the UK Football Quiz, Football Auctions and Regional Sports Nights are great fun but benefit serious causes. This is not a one off, the GSF will continue to grow and benefit as many football projects and causes as possible, please spread the word about us and help us obtain as much support as possible.

Apologies for the long message, we are keen to be taken seriously and feel its important that people interested in supporting us know exactly what we do.
