Helloooo

Post by MeMcMe » Fri Mar 18, 2011 3:43 pm

Hi there people, I'm new to the forum. Don't mean to come across as a great big bandwagon-jumper but the semi-final will be my first Bolton match. They've been my favourite team since I started watching football (circa 2001... kinda late, I know O_O). Anyway, I'm looking forward to it quite insanely.
In Irish sports shops they only seem to sell jerseys for the big fat four plus Celtic. I managed to make someone get me a Bolton jersey back in 03/04, and was hoping I could get my hands on this season's one. Does anybody know if they'll be sold around Wembley on the day of the game?
Such a newbie question, I know. I've only ever been to one football match and that was Bristol City v Reading with a girlfriend. Shameful.

Welcome! Don't be so hard on yourself. At least you aren't like one of those I've-been-a-lifetime-supporter-of-Chelsea types.

Everyone started with just one match, so I wouldn't worry.

If you go to just one match you've probably been to more than some regulars on here

True! I'd love to go to a game in the Reebok someday though. Sure it'll happen =]
Those lifetime-supporter-of-Chelsea types are everywhere... the Man City fad hasn't started over here yet, but it will come -_-

Welcome. The last match I went to Davies was the centre forward - Wyn not Super Kevin, and Freddie Hill was the star.

Welcome

Do yourself a favour a don't buy shirts from around Wembley. They won't be official and will probably fall apart after one wash.

You could order one online from the clubshop or via JJB sports or sports direct. Still plenty od time to get one posted over to you before the game.

Thanks for the advice! I'll shop around online. The P&P seems like way too much a lot of the time but maybe I'll find a cheaper place!

Get a 'retro' one online for peanuts..

Something like this

Am I not right in saying you need a previous buying history with The Wanderers to purchase tickets for the final?
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

sounds pretty reasonable to me, in order to prevent the other fans getting tickets for our end

I didn't know that about the previous-buying-history thingy... seems understandable.
For all I know I could be in with the Stoke fans. My brother has some sort of Wembley connection through his work. I'm delighted to be going, but I do hope I'm not in with the Stoke fans O_O

did you read description of this - LOL

'FA Cup Final 1995'

At least it didn't say that on the actual shirt...

Welcome McMcMe - I am Bolton born BWFC fan living in NI - i'll be flying out from Dublin for semi - and i might wear a big green paddy hat with my Bolton shirt to represent the 'Irish Whites!'

I didn't notice that! Top shirt if it's 'genuine' though..
